Latest update on stray pregnant mum is that we think the previous owner has been and picked her up. Apparently the landlady of the house turned up and found another mum with babies in the house. Whilst she went to report the situation to the RSPCA, the owner turned up and collected the cat and kittens. Black and white cat has not been seen since then so we can only assume that she collected her as well.
But things never stand still for long and today have had to squeeze in another mum and four black kittens!! Had a call from a very nice chap who was at his wits end. A member of his staff had found the mum and kittens under a fence panel in her garden. Since she has a dog they could not stay there so took them to work with her to try and find somewhere for them to go. The chap very kindly went to PAH and spent £126!! on a cat pen, bed, toys, bedding, food, etc etc and then started phoning around to try and find a placement for them without success. He said the most unhelpful were the RSPCA, which will be to their detriment as he has always made regular donations to them, which will now cease.
I told him I would squeeze them in somewhere and went to collect them. When I got there, he gave me all the stuff he had bought for them, plus a donation of £264.
. Whilst loading the car, I apologised for the stuff in the back which I had just collected from somewhere for car booting. He then said if I could get to his house he had a shed full of stuff I could take for car boot that he had been saving for the last 2/3 years - all good stuff. Also found out that he owns the Company, which sets up websites and he told me they would be happy to build me a website for free if I needed it.
So mum and kittens are now ensconced in their nice new pen at home and although mum is a bit upset at the moment I am sure she will calm down overnight. The strange thing is that the kittens are not feral so I think they have been dumped since being born rather than being born outside. They are not hissy and do not mind being picked up etc. Three girls and one boy so my ratio of boys to girls is evened out a bit.
Forgot to add that Frodo is doing fine, op seems to have been success and ihe is now being spoilt at home, although he cannot have any bedding in case he decides to eat it.
