Well just to report this little girl is doing great!! Will get pictures up once foster mum sends them me :)

Had another kitten in today. One of dog fosterers was in town shopping and spotted 3 mad women trying to force a terrified kitten onto to take for free.. She shot across and got him and brought him straight in to us.. He is about 9 weeks old, sweet little boy and was petrified.. He has fleas bless him and one toe splays out a bit but generaly good condition :)

She'll be fine with a teddy to snuggle with and some human company to watch over her. Rig up a pen in the living room. I've raised singles that small quite successfully in the past. She may need some encouragement to start lapping properly... try getting her to lick the milk from your fingers? She'll have the hang of it in no time.  ;)

Vet checked today, she seems to be in good health.

My flipping son, been home 15 minutes from school then decided to tell me he saw a cat with a kitten following going down alley way.. I shot out door to look but couldnt see them.. I am wondering if this mum and another kitten, he said the kitten was small..

If you were closer I'd offer Dave as a surrogate, apparently he was a very good mummy to some kittens when he was fostered (while I was in NZ). He would clean them and discipline them, so much so that their real mummy would just leave him to it! What a gorgeous little girl though and so lucky she found you after a horrible start.

She might like a snugglesafe heat pad or similar, if you have one?  Glad she's in safe hands now  :Luv2:

Could she have a teddy friend? All my singles have always had a bunny to snuggle with, txika still has hers!  :-[

Id agree with teresa thats shes older, her ears are up her head and eyes not that amazing baby blue.
Can you make a meatshake? Sometimes mine have gone from bottle to meatshake and never lapped the milk from a saucer  :innocent:

She has tried lapping and cant do it, she needs weaning.. She is alot smaller than picture makes out and through experience of litters we have had in the past I would say 4 weeks old

Not sure who aged this beauty at 4 weeks , I reckon at least 6weeks, regardless she is old enough for solids and you will find she is able to lap the milk formula so doesnt need a bottle.
Good Luck.

That is shocking how people can treat animals like that, how would the woman like it if it was done to her.. well her loss because what ends up on the ash heap has a habit of turning into something beautiful...hope you find a surrogate soon

URGENT, Surragate mummy needed
We have been handed in a young kitten tonight, probably around 4 weeks mark. A woman threw it at a neighbour down the road and ran off.. She can just just about lap up milk but struggles so bottle feeding her.. She seems very scared and depressed and would really benifit from a surrogate mummy if there is one out there that could help her?
