not great quality pic as I snapped it on my mobile but had to share this with you all - this was Benson yesterday afternoon - settling in well. He hasn't made a start at cleaning himself up yet but I expect that to come once he is fully rested. He is totally exhausted. I just thought this spoke a 100 words!

yup this boy definitely has his roaming days behind him. He is SUCH a sweetie. Was in with him tonight and I got bit flops and purrs but still with that fearful look in his eye. I know that won't stay there much longer but expect him to rest and eat for the next few days and then he will hopefully make a start at cleaning himself up. He is filthy!!!

Hopefully onwards and upwards for Benson now minus his bits - he has a look of our Sammy when he first came in on trapping - 10 months on and he is a joy to watch - the 4 kittens and Beijing have taught him to play - he lived outside for his first 18 months!

We had a last minute new arrival yesterday morning with the discovery of a rather rough looking boy who has now been named Benson thanks to Sue P selection of a name in the auction.

Think Benson suits him very well.

He was discovered by a local family who called us when they found him looking worse for wear and covered in wounds / scabs.

He was brought to us and we quickly discovered that he was an un neutered boy, with abcesses and healing abcesses , ticks, fleas, worms and filthy from head to toe. Yet under all that was such a handsome lad just waiting to come out.

Benson has been for the snip today and is most unimpressed and we have him on antibiotics and keeping an eye on his sores and general condition.
