Glad she's eating a bit.

Hope she perks up soon, though I'm sure she will under your care.

  thanks Skully

I have managed to get her to eat a couple of mouthfuls of the food I ordered in specially for Cheeky 90% chicken, fish and oils.  ;) so at least that is better than nothing this morning.  She did sit up for me when I went in with the food 10mins ago - so am just hoping that is a good sign though she is still looking very depressed - won't even open her eyes properly when you speak to her.

doing all we can for the little one - will keep you all posted! :thanks:

Poor CC. She must be utterly confused and feeling very hard done by. I'm glad she is safely back in your loving care Sarah. I hope that she finds a spark of strength to get her through this down time. I'm sending her massive healing vibes. Pull through CC because there are people out here that can offer you a warm loving forever home, where you will be safe and happy for the rest of your life.

no worries shirley - am sure her thread is in here somewhere! lol - she was actually living on the streets for around 3-4 yrs when we heard about her.  She was being fed by a resident - with no cats herself lol who had been reluctant to put CC into rescue in case she was PTS.

She heard about us and after a phone call and visit was happy to allow us to bring CC in.  When she arrived she was generally healthy, good weight (thanks to the feeder) but was suffering with very bad embedded claws in her front feet.  They were very sore for her and we had them treated and she went from strength to strength.  We estimated her age around 10 yrs old at that time and that was 7mths ago.

I have to say that she looks worse on her return this time than she did coming off the streets - as bizarre as that may sound - suppose it just goes to show in the difference of care and feeding.  Poor CC now looks very worn and run down bless her.  :Luv2:  Not to mention the thick glaring lack of fur round her neck and under her chin where  a collar has been so tight its rubbed away the hair - she never had a collar line when she left!  >:(

If she can pull through this then I will be making sure that any future homes for this little girl are very special indeed.

thanks guys

Shirley - as far as we aware everything is fine with Flash but we are just not comfortable with her being there in light of the threats made by both her and her mum with regards to dumping CC.

Unfortunately though if she is being cared for there isn't a great deal we can do just now but we will be making sure that other rescue's in the area are made aware of the situation in due course so that this doesn't happen to any other little one's.

As for CC this morning she is much the same in herself and still very withdrawn but did get up to drink a couple of laps of water before I went to bed last night and hovered round the bowl a while.  On checking her first things this morning she has drunk her whole bowl of water and has also eaten the jelly of her wet food - better than nothing.

She lifted her wee head for me slightly this morning but that was it - will just have to see how she does today.  Am really hoping it is just exhaustion bless her.  :Luv2:

 she's in the best place.

it might be just the stress of holding herself together and now that she's somewhere she feels safe it's come out (a bit like when you get 'flu after working really hard then going on holiday/having a few days off  :tired:).  Good that she's back with you, really hope she feels better soon.

Hope she perks up and it is just down to a bit of a funny tummy from poor diet, stress and lack of love. We all know she will have all of the care in spades with you

Just back from the vets with CC.

Nothing obvious at the moment as to why she is the way she is at the moment - and although sounding / appearing as a cat with a temperature  - her temp came back as normal.  Nothing else felt or heard that would indicate anything to the contrary at the moment.

Vet has opted to give her a/b's and steroid just now and see how she responds over the next day or two as we try to encourage her to eat something.   If she still doesn't pick up then we will move forward from there.

Poor wee CC is just SO down bless her - will be working with her to keep her spirits up and just hope that she turns the corner - so wish that she could speak to tell us what was wrong!

who knows it could just be simple exhaustion is taking its toll but we are covering all bases in the meantime.  :-:

another sign that the poor baby was stressed and unhappy .... she probably hasn't had a proper sleep all the time she's been away.

So glad she is back with you Sarah xxxx

Lots of hugs to CC...

When I adopted Katie I was told I couldn't have other cats due to the soiling and apart from a few fosters we've kept to that. It's so hard to see all the appeals for help when i've got space for another, but it's just not fair on her.

As for kids, my nephew came round yesterday (he's 4 months old) she just sniffed him, looked disgusted and settled down on her chair for a snooze!

We have an appt for CC at 2.30 today - will update you all when I know more.

It could just be that feeding her consistently cheap biscuits and causing her to be sick has aggravated her stomach and gut - hope that's all it is anyways.

having checked on her this morning she is very down and withdrawn and hasn't eaten anything at all overnight.  There was a little more pink foamy sick and blood in her poo as well this morning.

She's just not our little girl at all :'(

will see if we can coax her to eat anything this morning and update you once she has seen the vet this afternoon.
     thanks for all the thoughts for CC

Poor baby - I hope those  :censored: don't get another cat  >:(

I'm sure you will find her somewhere special in time so she can get over the awful experience with the low lifes

Well I can report that we now have CC back safe and sound at the harbour.

She is totally exhausted, very sad, greasy coat, very bad dry skin / dandruff and has some hair loss too and appeared to be very stiff in her back.

When we went to collect her she was cowered under the desk in the office and as I went in and shouted on her her wee head popped out - eyes lit up and she came running towards me until one of the other cats got in the way!!    :Luv2:   In one way it was lovely that she recognised me but in another I felt awful.  :'(   :'(

We brought her home with us and settled her back into a pen.  As soon as she saw the pen and we opened the cat carrier door she was straight out and up to the food for a munch  :Luv2:  and then settled down on a cosy wee bed for a sleep.   We kept checking on her last night and around 10pm she let out a big sigh, wrapped her wee paws under her chin and lay down - very much an aaaaahhhhhhh! moment!  :Luv2:

My heart really breaks for her to think what she has been through but I am VERY relieved that we have managed to get her back to us especially after the look on her wee face when she realised it was me there to collect her - was almost as if she had been waiting for me for a long time  :(

Will keep you posted on how she is - for now - daily chores are a calling!!  :tired:

Aww, the poor baby, can't understand why they didn't wait for you if you had already agreed to take her back - that happened to me a couple of years back as well, they didn't think I was quick enough in taking hte cat back (obviously no sense of me having to juggle for a space), and contacted other people - luckily the other rescue contacted me. Fingers crossed she perks up soon.
