Well I can report that we now have CC back safe and sound at the harbour.
She is totally exhausted, very sad, greasy coat, very bad dry skin / dandruff and has some hair loss too and appeared to be very stiff in her back.
When we went to collect her she was cowered under the desk in the office and as I went in and shouted on her her wee head popped out - eyes lit up and she came running towards me until one of the other cats got in the way!!
In one way it was lovely that she recognised me but in another I felt awful.
We brought her home with us and settled her back into a pen. As soon as she saw the pen and we opened the cat carrier door she was straight out and up to the food for a munch
and then settled down on a cosy wee bed for a sleep. We kept checking on her last night and around 10pm she let out a big sigh, wrapped her wee paws under her chin and lay down - very much an aaaaahhhhhhh! moment!
My heart really breaks for her to think what she has been through but I am VERY relieved that we have managed to get her back to us especially after the look on her wee face when she realised it was me there to collect her - was almost as if she had been waiting for me for a long time
Will keep you posted on how she is - for now - daily chores are a calling!!
