Apparently the mother has had a few litters and is believed to be a stray. A few people on the street are feeding her. I have offered to get them a spaying voucher to get her spayed so she can have a well earned rest from rearing kittens. No one can pick her up and she will not venture into their house but will sit outside.

What a shame, I do hope that the mother cat will be brought into care but this happens again.

I had been out for the day yesterday (12th April) and upon my return i had been in the house less than 5 minuets when i got a phone call from a lady who had contacted me a few days ago saying a stray cat had left 2 kittens in thier garden. I told them to leave be for the time being to see if she would feed them. She did for a day or 2 but dropped them under a parked car yesterday. They contacted me and i said i would take them in. They went to pick the kittens up and found one had already passed away. So when i took charge of the little lady that was left i wasn't sure if she would survive the night.

Well after having very little sleep i awoke early this morning and looked in the cat box to find she was wriggling round looking for food.  :)

She has not been taking to the bottle very well so i have been syringe feeding which she also protested to. She has just had her 2nd feed of the day and i tried the bottle again. To my relief she is now suckling happily on a bottle. She is also toileting well so another good sign. She's now snuggled down in her furry bed sleeping untill the next feed.

She has a good set of lungs on her and protests when picked up bless lol and she looks like a little fighter.
