As you can imagine you and yours have been in my thoughts today.  I was brave and selfish on Monday, as I decided to clear away the pen, disinfect and wash Fluffy's bedding that day.  Then being selfish, and not wanting to look at an empty space, I put George the latest stray in the same spot.

You should have rung me yesterday, and I would have taken you so you didn't have to drive there and back.

I can imagine how you felt, as you got the spray out, as it was something you hadn't been able to do for some time.

I am sure it won't be long before you find a little lost soul to help keep those beds warm.  A little one that decides your sitting room is where he or she wants to stay.

Pepsi looks lovely, like the short-haired double of my Pepsi!

So sorry to hear of your loss but you did the right thing, play hard at the Bridge Pops  :Luv:

Thanks everyone. House seems flat today.
Thats 3 gone in just over a year now. I seem to have far too many beds around (including 6 heated beds!) for the 4 that now live in the house (as Henry (no 5)  still doesn't come in, though he was scared of pops so things may change).

Starting to clean around a bit and take up some of the other beds and even have the furniture polish out for the first time since Pepsi started breathing problems.

Just got back from the vet and have now buried Pepsi next to her brother Fang. Pepsi came to us in July 1991 from the RSPCA and therefore almost reached her 19th birthday.
Plagued with a bad chest and on steroids for 18 months, she became thin and frail over christmas and even more so in the last 3 months. Her legs has started to go and she was having trouble moving, though still eating a little.

Wasn't sure if I was being selfish keeping her going  or selfish wanting the worry to stop - but today I think she was ready.

God bless!
