Yesterday afternoon we kept a close eye on Milo as he was eyeing up the fence again  >:(

Then we caught him leaping over, we ran to the fence to see his black booty disappearing into next doors kitchen, hubby was about to leap over the fence and I was calling him, but he wouldn't show, just as Hubby was going to leap over Milo charged out and leaps back and goes indoors.

I think he scared himself, we shut in him for about 20 minutes before letting him out again where he was really calm.

My neighbours were lovely, they didn't even see him. We started erecting some netting with canes last night when they came out and we told them, they just laughed, and said they don't mind. Turns out they were cooking chicken and I think Milo could smell it and was off to steal some if possible.

Milo's a little  :censored: :censored:

If the road is that close its certainly a worry, is putting your own fence on the inside an option?
This is the downside to harness freedom they get more and then want more still which is entirely natural, hopefully the persians wont like him in their garden and act as a deterrant!

Well we went out last night on the harness, needless to say Milo wasn't impressed to start with but coped well with it.

I saw the lady who lives to the back of our neighbours and she is getting 2 persians in a couple of weeks. She is going to keep them in to start with but will let them out, so now I am a bit worried Milo might go after them.

I think now he's worked it out there's not a lot you can do  You could try distracting him when he goes over to that side of the fence or making your garden much more exciting, maybe hide some treats, some play tunnels etc

Sounds like he's got the Spring bug in his step

Although Poot is indoor only, he's been getting into all sorts of mischief and nosing in places he doesn't normally nose, I swear its the time of year

its always a worry when they don't usually do that - we put up a new fence on both sides so we could attach our catproofing on the side that wasn't ours we just put the new fence next to the old

Milo packed up his little bag and was off.... AN UPDATE

Over the garden fence at the weekend.

Saturday I was in the kitchen baking and the boys were in the garden, we usually just let them out to roam about. After about 15 minutes I realised I couldn't see Milo, called hubby and we were looking still couldn't find him, I started to panic, we looked over next doors fence (about 5ft) and there he was running around their garden, we called him but he wouldn't come back, hubby jumped over and caught him and we took him in.

But now every time he goes out his showing interest in going over, his never done this before! I don't think they would mind him in their garden (they are a lovely elderly couple) but:

- I don't want him straying

- He can get into the ladies garden behind as its not fenced off (she parks her car on our neighbours drive and walks though their garden) and she lives on a main road

- I think he'd go into their house, and steel food as they usually have meat defrosting on the window sill.

If it was our fence we'd think of replacing it, but its not, I said to hubby could we speak to them about putting some trellis up but he thinks its rotten and wouldn't hold.

We're away for 2 weeks at the beginning of May and I was going to let the cat sitter take them out but I can't risk it at the moment, maybe we'll go back to lead walks but I don't know whether he'll behave on it now.
