Funnily enough , there is  only one that jumps on my worktops and thats Smartie and thats only for attention or to drink the water from the tap -and occasionaly sleep in the sink drainer
The other all like to jump on the table though -but as its always got a cover on and its never used it doesn''t matter .
They have free access to everywhere and most/all depending on mood ,sleep with me . Wouldn''t have it any other way !

I was talking to a woman at college last week. I said I know it seems a bit mad but I am convinced that Alice saves some food for me and I have to let her know it's all for her  :Luv2: - the woman said not to worry as people think she is mad as she kisses her cats on the mouth  :evillaugh:

I just think its a bit rank to let your cats sleep where you prepare food. Peoplw may say they wash the sides but even so.

LOL you wouldnt come to my house twice then

What you don't know is where your cats go when you're not watching them,

That's exactly why we gave up telling Geoffrey off for jumping on the worktops  :evillaugh:

Lovely pic, they look so comfy  :Luv2:

It's the same here.  I can just imagine telling Mosi not to go on the worktops    He does what he wants.  Like you, I use chopping boards for food and they are kept propped up on their side next to the microwave - no cat access!  Mind you, I still get cat hairs in everything!

Fab pic  :Luv:

I don't actually prepare food directly on the worktop - I use a chopping board for that - they don't sleep on that cos I put it away in the cupboard! My cats go wherever they like, no restrictions here.

Ditto at our house Gillian   :-: .  OH really doesn't like it though  >:( >:( >:(  .....

coz Freddie is so dim he might hurt himself from steam coming from kettle  ;)

I thought I was onto a winner as Poot never jumped onto the worktops, but its his new game now  :innocent:

My cats jump up on the worktop to get to the windowsill, they only go on the tea & coffee making side, they get a telling off if they go on the other side!!

Im sure there are more germs in the kitchen sponge than on the cats though!!

I suspect they've got it into their little furry heads that you like them on the worktop, Gillian, 'cos you're always taking their picture when they're there

and we know what posers they are ;)

I do wish they'd cuddle up somewhere else other than the worktop though....... ;) luckily I had finished in the kitchen!
