Ouch! Poor Tula :care: Hope Pansydora goes on to make a speedy recovery too :care:  Edit: Didn't mean to leave poor Cordelia out of the headkisses so here's some extra for her :care: :care:

Which of the newbies are ready to go on the site for rehoming as I'll get cracking with temporary entries  ;D

I seem to have lost track of the week; Carol came I think wednesday and during her rounds informed me that Tula had a hole in her bum, I inspected it as best I could (Tula is a former feral) my diagnosis was Carol had bitten her  and she needed the vet; fortunately Debbie had a 5 ish appointment to take Pansydora and Cordelia so somehow I got poor Tula into a crush cage and left Carol and Debbie to do the vet visit while I warmed the settee.
Pansydora as expected has mild flu and vet will check her next week regards rape/spay etc.
Poor Tula Carol hadnt bitten her, her anal gland had exploded so pain relief and antibiotics given and I imagine Carol will keep well away from her bottom
On the quiet I think Carol has a thing about botties, the first time she came here we were full to bursting and everything was wonderful until Carol discovered 2 long haired kittens with mucky bums   In fairness she did clean them
Andy vet saw them with Cordelia in waiting room and thought PTS he was evidently amazed with her progress and no longer rushing for Fiv/Felv tests, she is still a little chesty but looks good and is now 3.3kg; suspicion is she has thyroid trouble but Andy needs to wait a while before he tests, meanwhile are beautiful old girl is happy to demand lots of gourmet meals and catch upon her beauty sleep.
All at Inn are doing fine and seem happy.

They are all lovely, but I think Pansydora is just beautiful, you will work your magic on them all as usual. I hope you are taking care of yourself and getting enough sofa time.

Morning Sheila and thanks for thinking of us but afraid these vets are not for us.
Thankfully our vets are excellent, they are their for us day and night which is most important, they are uptodate with latest equipment and treatments and yes they do charge a consultation. Afraid I read about this group a little while ago and it really set me thinking O Lord NO, and so even if we were remotely near to them I would prefer to use my vets.
Perhaps I will put my worrying thoughts on the appropriate thread, this is for Paws Inn updates.

Morning, Inn. Happy Easter  ;)

Did you see this?

Introducing Animal Trust - the first not-for-profit veterinary practice in the UK open to ALL animals!

We're very proud that our own Vickylizzy is involved in running this and we would really love it if you could support her and the Animal Trust.

Debbie worked really hard all day while I warmed the settee, she even got some photos.
Firstly Cordelia, what a difference 10 days makes,no longer a scrawny kipper, taking an interest in her surroundings and does try to wash though not very successfully,Debbie took these pics just after washing her face and grooming her,her eyes constantly weep.

Hope Eater was kind to the Inn. We're suffering from mucky paw syndrome - the entire house is covered in a fine patterned silt.

Thank goodness for JML Micromop. Must get OH to get it out ;)

Still havent managed any photos of new arrivals but they are all doing fine. Bella and Daisy are now ready for homing. Pansydora is still on poop watch but doing ok. Mum and her kitten are adorable, think we will aim to get mum spay this week and then as soon as first vaccs done they can be put up for rehoming.
Unbelievable Wilbur and Big H are still here but quite happy in their big Pen with outside run.Cornelius is   looking quite good now but still hiding his injured leg and refusing to straighten it or put weight on it,so we soldier on. Cordelia looks so scruffy with an almost constant discharge from her eyes and a woolly looking coat, Debbie is coming tomorrow so furminator can come out again, afraid if I tried it would kill me; meanwhile she is eating really well now and is alert to her surroundings, I doubt Carol will recognise her  as the scrawny thing we picked up, I know the blood test cometh but I really am not worried now.
This settee really needs me and as I have an hour spare before Cornelius needs his pain relief I best lay down to ensure maximum spread of warmth

Happy Easter Everyone esp Macbeenz

Oh T - is there ever a day goes by when your poor heart isn't in your mouth?
      Sheila didnt you realise nothing about me is normal  My eldest son told his fiancee that I am the most hard core woman in the world    I think he meant I`m tough so never worry about me I just take it all in my stride.

Good News my little Cornelius is Fiv/Felv negative  :yayyy: Andy took fluid from joint which was clear, he tried to get some of the green pussy stuff but couldnt get enough to test. Hes been xrayed and no apparent break, Andy has changed his antibiotic and says he may need to stay on them for another 6 weeks, amputation will be last resort; thank God for a brilliant vet. Incidentally Cornelius was castrated yesterday. This little man is soooo special.

Cordelia is eating well and giving me fresh hope everyday.

All other cats and kittens happy and well. Think the settee is crying to be kept warm

Just 'checked-in' on this thread after an absence of a few weeks. What wonderful news that Chelsea has gone to a new home. And a very special home too by the sounds of it

Fingers crossed for some good news for the wonderfully named Cornelius and Cordelia.

I agree with another poster on here - just what's going on with all these exotically coloured new residents?!?

Hope all is well at the Inn today,

S.x

Cornelia is  looking slightly stronger this morning so fingers crossed.

Poor Cornelius has been rushed to vet this morning, his wound beginning to swell again,so Felv/Fiv test, Xray and course of action decided then.
Wont know anything till later.

Oh poor wee Cordelia, such a shame. Sending some strengthening vibes her way.

Pansydora - oh boy has she landed on all four paws - I bet she can't believe her luck. Is she preggers then or can that be sorted when she is spayed? Good that the owners of Tommy bigballs are succeptible to your charms, T   :evillaugh:

Another Mum and kitten? Just one this time? Aw bless.

I guess you're branching out with these new colours T, first Cordelia now torties and tabbies? What's going on up there !

Following vets advice Cordelia is now in the living room with me, she really is in a sorry state, Andy gave her Convenia and told Debbie that we should give her a week to improve,he suspects Fiv/Felv,her chest is not good, the cauliflower ear he thinks is result of haemotoma but other ear he suspects melonoma. Also signs of kidney failure.

Yesterdays first new inmate has been called Pansydora (I saw it on forum and rather liked it) poor scrawny girl broke into someones cat flap and was rewarded by the live in entire tom raping her, shes only about 4-5 months. She is a sweetie despite everything and was so hungry she even enjoyed the worm pill. Poor Debbie had lots to do re arranging and scrubbing Pens to make space. We have booked entire tom in for castrate at our expense. Pansydora is a very beautiful black/white.

At 6.45pm mum and kitten arrived,(as yet unnamed) so poor Debbie settled those in too.
Pictures will have to wait as lots to do and Carol is in France,Julie is in Wales and now its time for me to keep the settee warm.
Mum cat is tortie and kitten tabby.
