This is a very sad day for Purrs and I think it such a shame that someone who devoted so much of her time and her life to rescue cats (isnt that after all what Purrs is all about) has felt that she had no option but to leave.

IMHO it is getting to the stage where there is too much nastiness and I can see a lot of other members following Teresa

If you are reading this T - take care Hun, I will miss reading about the Paws Inn residents and I am sure that a lot of us will miss you xxx

Very very sorry to see you go T - I'll miss the Paws updates and pics. Will have to get of my but and come and see you soon. I don't blame you for leaving as I've seen quite a bit of unpleasantness on this forum  :(

I'd assume she's only done that as members have to get their accounts closed. Sorry to see this Teresa, your rescue work is amazing to follow.

So a big thank you from Ted, Bill, Twinkle and Harvey. :thanks:

May be with you tomorrow if not definately on Sunday.

Glad to see you back Teresa and hope you are feeling a bit more positive about things

My local paper has a new section where they feature four cats in rescue who are in desperate need of a home, I know you said appeals had only bought more animals in the past but I wonder if it was done slightly differently from the past and similar to my local paper ie a little biography of the cats involved and what type of home they were looking for it might be more successful?

It's been running about a month and so far all 4 cats featured each week have found a new home  :) I can send you a link if you'd like?

Oh Teresa, that's fab news!  ;D  Paddy reckons you can "gets der long-a-ways" on a plate of jelly a day.    reckon he knows a bit or two about that.   :)

The Muckspots are hooligans.  Minimopsical would've had them licked into shape by now.  She'll be rolling her eyes and having a quiet laugh.   Very pleased to hear Annabel's regaining her beautiful figure after giving you such a scare.    All in all, a wet and windy day, but one to be enjoyed, nontheless.  :Luv:

Its very wet and windy and I am sitting here like a drowned rat (now that I have finished mucking out) BUT I need to share a very special bit of Sunshine who this morning went to her food bowl and began to eat,ok she picked most pieces up licked the jelly and then spat the offending lump out but she pretty nearly filled her own tummy doing this, I only got 6 ml in with the syringe which she gladly accepted until syringe no 7 when she told me she was full. Need to point out that Sunshine has not wanted food at all and only way to get anything in has been with 1ml syringe so feeding been long difficult job.
Yesterday we invested in yet another collapsible pen as the one the babies were in was too small, room inside for scratching post, food bowls and very posh suede bed (ok its covered with soft fleece) anyway the kittens love it and Simon loves his scratching post," yes girls its all mine" or so he thought, his sister Sunny is bigger than him  and while Simon and Sunny are deciding who is boss little Summer runs up top of said post to claim victory
Muckspots need to be evicted they are total hooligans who jump up on worktops, throw all clean washing on floor, puncture my legs, run up your back, lick yes lick your face and generally cause mayhem, even the poor dog doesnt loiter in the kitchen anymore, I will never understand why people want kittens.
All the other inmates dare I say it are happy and well, Annabel is having fun stealing her kittens solids and is back to her usual chubby self.
Wilma is coping very well without Monica but I guess Wilma knew about the cancer before we did.
Sophie and her 7 terrors are almost as bad as the muckspots now, I take 4 bowls of food, dish of kitten milk and water in and am mugged by the lot of them who have gone from scrawney things to fatties.
Cant remember if I told you that we had to take Chelsea away from her kittens as she was attacking them and kittens were pooping everywhere, well mum gone an extra tray and all is well again. Chelsea on the other hand is proving very difficult, she hates all other cats and is very angry with us for putting her in a smaller pen, we need some homes but it seems there are only unsuitable ones at present.
Had a scare with Fuchsia who went missing from her bedroom the other day, she didnt appear for food and Rob raised the alarm, decided she was dead somewhere in the room and began calling and searching, bless her as soon as she heard my voice she let out a little cry, she had somehow got behind the drawers of the bed which were bolted shut and got stuck, I had to remove everything to get her out, she was so grateful she repeated the performance the following day.
