Glad you've finally got something to go on and that it can easily be treated  :)

Julie - Bill, Ted & Twinkle are stunners - they'll only be enhanced by the gorgeous Sgt Ubend :drool;

Yes Ted is a stunner and knows it lol.   You will have to bend Paul's ear I have been strickly there to supervise (well looking at it through the window, its cold out there).  Not only has Twinkle settled in she has taken over and the boys have let her.

Fab pics Julie - especially Ted - what a stunner he is. Really glad to hear that Twinkle is getting on well. We're hoping to make an out door run for ours (will be spring when we start probs) so might have to bend your ear a bit next time I see you at Paws.

Also glad to hear the Muckspots have been diagnosed with something which seems to be curable. I'm very impressed with Carol's detective work re the chicken factory.

Hope Wilma starts to bond with one of the other ferals soon.

x

My ex had Campylobacter (sp?) years ago and said it was the most awful thing. Hope Bonny and Muckspots will soon start to feel much better soon!  :Luv2: :Luv2:

Julie, i met Twinkle in June-can't believe how grown up she looks!   :Luv2: :Luv2:

T, hope Wilma will be ok with Hettie and Milly looking out for her  :Luv2: :Luv2: and you are too

......... vet has phoned and they have found something in Muckspots poop, Campylobacter ...

Ah that makes sense, I should have thought of it sooner.    Bonny and kittens were found in a chicken factory weren't they and Campylobacter sp are common in raw chicken both on the skin and in the gut, so mum probably picked it up and passed it on to babies.  Although less common than Campylobacter you can also find Salmonella and E. coli in raw chicken so I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that they've got tummy troubles.

One of the best pieces of advice I was ever given is ' treat raw chicken as you would raw sewage.'

I am glad they have finally found out what is going on although I have no idea what that is.  God luck with the weigh in.

Bill and Ted are definately not feral now they like there comfy bed too much, or should I say our beds too much as they have taken over both spare rooms and have a bed each.

Thought you might like to see how Twinkle's outside run is doing we are nearly there, or should I say Paul is nearly there.

And another picture

Julie lovely pictures. There are several people on here who will remember Bill and Ted as tiny mersey ferals.

Just flying in to say vet has phoned and they have found something in Muckspots poop, Campylobacter yippee, yes I am pleased because now they can have the proper treatment, this has gone on too long, good news No toxoplasmosis found in poop; have prepared a sample from Bonny this morning and taking that in later for testing but Andy going to start mum and kittens on treatment straight away, got to weigh them all now.

Yes we have a colony too and that is a good thing.  They are definitely as much worry as our own, well they are our own

 :thanks: All.

The wet weather means that Wilma, Hettie and Milly are in the greenhouse more so we are able to keep a better eye on Wilma who is so obviously grieving for her friend, those girls have been "joined at hip for" the last 10 years apart from the few weeks of confinement Monica endured after last years accident.

Finally got myself into gear with names this morning;
Annabel the ballerina has 1 boy Norman Wisdom, tortie girl is Darcey and black/white girls are Pavlova and Fontaine.

Sophie has 7, 4 boys and 3 girls which Claire suggested began with S , so
Black/white boy = Star
longhaired tabby/white= Skip
tabby/white sh =Sol
Longhaired tabby/white with beauty spot =Stig
Girls
Black/white= Sabrina
sh tabby/white=Serena
longhaired tabby/white = Selena
I`m bound to forget them all or put wrong names on wrong photos just to keep Si on his toes

Bonny having another tummy do so have gathered poop sample for vets, was told take her back but she is happy and eating and its one consultation after another with nothing changing so today we will do things my way and see what a mess I make.
All else seem fit and well though little Sabrina was trying to vomit this am but after 3 days of wormer and a piece of woodbased cat litter in her mouth I would expect it. Now got 5 of 7 using litter trays, 2 still piddle and poop besides the trays currently 3 trays in pen.

:thanks:Janey, ferals are such a worry at least we have a colony here.

I've been thinking about Wilma and you T

I'm so hoping that Wilma will find another chum to latch on to.   I know that when one our ferals Pebbles was sadly pts, a friend of next doors Tiggy he latched on to another feral and they are now the best buddies.

I'm so sorry, T. I remember the two of them locked together, where one was the other was sure to appear. The small consolation is that Monica is no longer bearing pain. Wilma will cope, she's a tough girl. And she has Hettie and Milly. Just a different type of companionship.

A hug for you too, I know you'll be putting on your brave face, but I know how much you'll be feeling this.

T so sorry for the loss of Monica, at least you have closure

Aunty T shared a wonderful bond with Wilma and her other ferals a relationship never easily won but worth the wait no matter how many backward steps each glance is a wonderful thing

So god speed Miss Monica a wonderful advert for a feral lady who will be sorely missed but always remembered as a Paws Inn lady

We are thinking of you all at the Inn - having lost our Cissy this year understand the dynamic loss they cause

I told Milly about Monica first and asked her to look out for Wilma and I swear both Hettie and Milly are watching over her, I went out to the greenhouse to tell Wilma how sorry I was that Monica couldnt come back this time and I swear the 3 cats clung onto my every word. Poor little Wilma after all the distress of last years separation and then the joy of a reconcilation, life seems so cruel.
For my part I am lucky that I have closure something that so often doesnt happen with a feral.
