Oh Teresa i'm so sorry to hear this, she was a lovely looking girl (have a pic from my visit in June)  :Luv2:  Thank goodness you were able to catch her-it doesn't bear thinking about how she would have suffered otherwise.   for you and Rob

You have to live with a feral to understand the very special love and committment that goes with them; Monica has been with us for almost 10 years and been a proper little madam who only allowed me to touch her twice, once last year when she smashed her pelvis in 5 places and yesterday when I grabbed her for the vets.I think I knew yesterday that I would not see her again but the vet gave us a glimmer of hope. It was not to be our dear sweet fiesty madam has been PTS, Dave anaesthised her this morning to find out the extent of her injuries and bless her all I can say is her accident in some ways was fortunate, a massive tumour was discovered at the back of her mouth stretching into the throat, there was no choice. Poor Wilma is going to have to learn to live without her friend yet again. I am just so thankful that we were able to get hold of Monica and spare her further suffering.
A very special girl who despite rejecting us humans was loved always.
Pic is Wilma and Monica or Joined at hip as they have always been affectionately known.

Oh no - that's awful news about Monica the poor little thing. I know she's a feral and not tame but you can tell so much that she loves her life at Paws - it's so nice to see the various ferals just chilling and doing their thing and pootling round the garden. Big  and vibes for her xx

Fantastic news about Marmite and Minxy and a lovely to hear they've gone to an acquaintance of a Purrs member.

Lovely, lovely pics of Sophie and her brood too  :Luv:

Hope you've managed to make time for a bit of relaxation this weekend T.

So sorry to hear about Monica.  I hope tomorrow's xrays don't show any further problems and that she's soon on the mend.

Lovely photos again - Sophie does have a harrassed "unmarried mother of seven" expression on her face.  ;D

Teresa, am so sorry to hear about Monica - poor little soul - she's not had a good run of luck.  May her fighting spirit see her through again.

Loving the pictures - which one is the little monster who was pulling his Ma's tail?  He's a little smasher.  I do think he's a little heartbreaker.  :)

Got up to copius amounts of blood in greenhouse and no sign of Hettie or Monica so a worrying morning ensued. Claire spotted an injured Monica in the greenhouse just before midday and luckily we managed to capture her efficiently (for those who dont know Monica is pure feral and dangerous), straight to emergency vets expecting PTS as she looked and smelt terrible , thankfully vet thinks she will survive, she has beenRTA, fractured jaw and bad tooth which will be sorted and abscess, tomorrow xrays and treatment, he has kept her in and given pain relief and antibiotics today. Wilma is looking for her friend yet again, its only just 16 months since Monica fractured her pelvis in 5 places.
Anyway got some cheering pics of Muckspots walking over Claire anfd Julie and also some pics of Sophie and her gang of 7.

Glad Bonny and the Muckspots are doing well.  Fingers crossed for another homing tomorrow.  Can we have a pic of Sophie?  I don't think I've ever seen her.  Maybe her offspring don't approve of your choice of litter or maybe they just like to keep you on your toes (or should that be knees  :evillaugh: )

Have you many visits from prospective parents this weekend T?

Only the one Sarah. So lets hope Hannah gets the home  or if not Marmite and Minxy. Binny and Barty go on Thursday.

The good news is Bonny is as bright as ever and eating well so no worries after all.

Been out on hands and knees supplement feeding some of Sophies babies as they just arent all taking in enough nourishment, poor things got a dose of Panacur each this morning and were so relieved when they realised I had brought something nice for them. Of the 7 2 are black/white and 5 are tabby/white of those 5 tabbies 3 are going to be long haired, they are a very pretty litter but determined to keep pooping next to the litter tray rather than in it, one little girl watched me clean up this morning then stood and piddled in front of me  I shall win this battle yet
Annabels babies have all opened their eyes now, though its fair to say Norman Wisdoms are only half way open, should have some helpers in form of Claire and Julie tomorrow so if so will set them to work with camera while I put my feet up and polish off the dollly mixtures
Time to go feed the Muckspots yet again, theres something so wonderful about them yet so exhausting.

Had a good chat to Bonny re her Muckspots and basically this was what she said

" Aunty T I trusted you with my 6 beautiful, innocent, clean tiny babies when I was so ill, you have been good and fed them and taught them to poop and piddle in a tray BUT BUT BUT they is big hoodlums now so you can keep them

Bonny been to vet and had couple of injections just incase, her weight is good now 3.3kg and vet not unduly worried but wants to see her again tomorrow if any further problems.

While Bonny waited in her carrier in kitchen an escape committee went into operation and we had a brief re union, filled me with tears, Bonny now back and very happy to be alone in her Pen enjoying peace and quiet.
