I wish I shared your optimism Teresa, he is such a sensitive soul and so easily gets freaked out / frightened (complete opposite to Riley!). He and Riley love each other and I know he's definitely not frightened of him, my fear would be that a new cat might pick on him when they were older/bigger and that the very place where he should feel safe and secure is where he was frightened and threatened :(

I keep coming back to this thread and looking at her pics though, she is absolutely stunning and I would be honoured to give her a home if deemed suitable. I'm just not sure I can take the risk  :shy:

Shirley C.H. is an absence of the cells in the brain which control movement and balance, it is caused whilst in womb often as a result of mum cat being exposed to panleukopenia whilst pregnant. Cerebral Palsy is the human equivalent.  Our sweet Minimopsical was born that way and had almost 6 wonderful years with us.

Helen I will ask Claire to take lots of Marigold esp for you  Sometimes you need to look for the positives in life and far from Lu being threatened he could gain an ally for when Riley pounces from dark corners

:blow kiss:

Good news about the new helper  ;D

Can I put a request in with Claire for lots of pics of Marigold when she gets her camera out please  :wish:  I've been racking my brains of a way to see if Lu would feel threatened by a new relative but I guess the only way to find out would be after the event  :(

Daisymac never mind your handbag I`ll give you a cat carrier.
Liz I really love Scotland but Paws Inn loves Cheshire
I havent named her yet as Earieme (eerie  me ) is all I can think of  I have no doubt that she was guided here. Been putting her through her paces this morning and watching how she copes very carefully, she is already stretching her back legs out for balance and when she plays football her front paws seem to miss the catch and she seems suprised when back leg hits ball instead. She is fascinated with the dyson  but not so keen on her toys, very early days yet. Going to be tough on her like we were with Minimopsical and encourage her to do as much as possible for herself and hopefully one day we will be ab;le to pop her into someones cat carrier.
All the other inmates are fine, have a new helper joining us on Saturday so hopefully will be able to set Claire to work with the camera so that Aunty suepoo can keep her eyes closed  and Aunty dawn can drool over Sweetpea.
Incidentally new helper is Julie who adopted Bill and Ted who older members will remember from Catchat Merseyferals about 4 years ago, so will be nice to hear all about them.

I think that darling Minimopsical might have had something to do with this from the Bridge  ;)  :Luv2:

Everything happens for a reason hun, same way as another FIV came into Woking just after I'd lost Max, they seek out those who are best placed to help and care for them

Today has been a very emotional one, our latest little arrival is a 12 week old girl who is badly affected by cerebral hypoplasia. Coming so soon after Minimopsicals death it has been quite a shock to the system so I will tell her story when I feel less tearful.

I have just caught up and am sorry to hear that Violet came into your care so late, Teresa.  At least you were able to end her awful suffering.

Lots of happy little faces there, by the looks of it: I hope that Bluebell wakes up properly in time to have a nice restoring supper this afternoon.

Pepsi, Maisie and Bluebell have all been spayed and microchipped today and are currently being collected from vet by OH; Pepsi and Maisie are fine but vet has told me that poor Bluebell has taken it hard and struggling to wake up.
All other cats and kittens fine and baby Pansy Bossy Boots has taken charge of all the summerhouse kittens.

I shouldn't be looking at this thread because I'm in France and its costing me an arm and a leg to download so many pics but its its oh sooooooo worth it.  Still  :Luv2: Marigold but Lewis is giving her strong competition and the picture of the two of them together is just brilliant.  Glad to see Korky and litter mates are thriving.
