I so miss having a black cat.

Ditto. I'll share my home with one again one day. :)

I hear you. However when I do they will be named Salem.

Just so my father in law can make witch jokes   :evillaugh:

Such a lot has a happened at Paws Inn since I last posted on this thread that I don't know where to start so I'll just send you lots of these

I'm glad Pepsi and babes are doing well and enjoying their fud (my Korky was a gannet too). Sending lots of 'keep on pooper-scooping' vibes.  :naughty:

The Loneliness of the Long Distance Pooper Scooper.....   if you need rest and revivification stops during the day, moral support, laughter or snoozles, you know where to find us  :grouphug:

Am sure I will be having lots and needing lots  Anyone want to guess how many Poops I will have to scoop   Just realised will have to provide my own food or starve.

Thought I would get this thread back on a happier note, Pepsi`s  kittens are growing up fast; those who remember her kitten Chico will know that he was 3 months old and not eating solids, (one of the reasons they were given a place at the Inn), anyhow expected to have difficultly weaning this litter as Pepsi is an excellent mother but somewhat a gannet. Today it was lovely to see 2 little blacks stealing kitten dry and another 2 licking the jelly from whiskas kitten while mum was busy eating her own, so need kitten number 5 to start getting curious now. They were 4 weeks old on Tuesday so earlybirds.
Today is big day for me as I will be alone till midnight and this means it will be the first time I have had to cope with feeding, poop scooping etc alone since 9th October, sounds silly I know but to me it will be like running the London marathon, at least OH did mucking out this morning.

Teresa if you did decide to be less hands on in the future maybe you could write some of your valuable knowledge of cat rescue down  as reference to those just setting up. All you have done and all you have learned along the way is worth more than gold to others.

Teresa, you are absolutely amazing. I agree that you will still be grieving about Minimopsical, she was a large part of your life and it won't be an easy thing to not have her around any more. I for one, am in absolute awe not only of the work you do, but also to the level of commitment you put into it!

wow Teresa what a twist of fate - I guess the Inn will be open just that little bit longer now

You cant just close doors because of all the cats in care. I originally intended to get through this years kitten season, after events of last few days I felt I could not do it. Having been forced to go onto auto pilot to deal with yesterdays emergency made me realise that there is still fight in this old boot and that I can be useful after all.
I think I really need to get over the loss of Minimopsical and sort out a lot of outstanding issues relating to my illness before I make any further decision.

Just back in from checking Maisie and baby, baby still ok , Maisie looking exhausted, will keep very close eye on her as may yet take her to vet.
