Busy day today, could no longer cope with uncertainty over Melody so she has been in to vet and blood tested, Felv and Fiv Negative.Vet says her lymph nodes still up so ghe is not happy to spay or vaccinate for at least another 2 weeks. No results back on Dusty yet.
Daisy and Mac have been to vet and had their first vaccinations a few days early, the reason being their new owners want to take them home on Sunday, vet very happy with their progress so all being well they will leave us at 2 on Sunday afternoon.
Twinkle will also be off to her new home on Sunday and Of course Kenny will leave us on Saturday so that will clear 3 pens.
Looking forward to Open Day on Saturday and seeing everyone.

Post Mortem on little Minnie came back yesterday and again is inconclusive, cause of death was septicemia but cause of that not obvious, no diarhoea so unlikely it is a result of one of the digestive bacteria, Andy vet is still convinced Leukemia and will take mum in for blood testing but is refusing to spay her at present, so we are still no wiser.
Sorry just not able to find cheery words at present.

Pleased for Marigold and Sweetpea,   Kenny wont be happy with me though,  he will be on his own for a week until I get him on Saturday,   but I guess he will need to build up strength to cope with JO Ripley who just wants to play with someone bless him.

Hi everyone,

I have been over at the Inn today getting ready for the Summer Open Day next weekend.

I have some sad news to share with you all - I am afraid that we had to take the decision to have Dusty PTS yesterday morning.  She had been going down hill and the advice from the vets was that she would not recover.  As you can imagine, Teresa and myself are devastated by the news and we are awaiting further tests from the vets to give us more of a clue about what caused this.  The vets haven't ruled out FIP as it seems that the vaccine has had a really bad effect on her.  We are awaiting the results from her post mortem as deaths like this are not common and especially not at Paws Inn.  The one positive thing is that due to our isolation policy she has not been in contact with any other cats within the Inn.

We do however have some good news - Marigold and Sweetpea will be going to their new home tomorrow afternoon.

Cxx

T so glad they are giving you time out for good behaviour!

You will get home and instill the special sprirt that has been missing from the Inn you will cope - its the way you are - your heart may break but in each break the is a special baby that has for however long its time had the special honour of being a Paws Inn baby who was wanted and loved even from a distance by us and by you hands on even if it was the staff!

You can and will go on Aunty T - its just you have more down hills than straight road at the moment

Just thought I'd post a couple of pics of Scamp/Chico and Blackberry/Scrumpberry for you all and of course for T.

My friends' kitten has taken up full time residence with us. Unfortunately she was a bit of a silly-billy and didn't think at first that her landlord might not take too dearly to her keeping cats in the property  As well as that it appears that her daughter is allergic to cats so all in all she reluctanctly had to look at rehoming him. And as I adore black cats and have others of a similar age you can guess what happened!

So here we are... top pic shows Scrumpberry in the green box with Scamp showing off her op scar with new friend Scratchy (named after the Simpsons - he's thankfully not a 'scratcher') enjoying having a hug with his new big sis

Second pic shows an empty mango crate being mis-used! From left to right: Scrumpberry; Scratchy; Scamp (with eyes slightly open).

Sorry to hear that you can't have visitors at the moment T. Any news on a potential release date?

Sarah x

Are Minxy's ears real?  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
Poor love was so undernourished she will hopefully grow into those ears one day, you can still see remnants of bald circles around eyes due to vitamin deficiency.

Tan you cant have Mac, he and his mum Daisy are Reserved, they will be staying together.

They're all lovely T  :Luv:

Tan it looks like he's chomping on a little cigar
I suppose he does look like Churchill  thats actually a lump of food, but just incase
 :no smoking:

Carol when Grace arrived she was so aggressive, we decided just protecting her babies and I named her Grace, never has a name been more appropriate she has blossomed into the sweetest gentlest girl, as for her kittens well thats a different matter

Daisymac stop worrying about Kennys size, we can get him kitted out with a saddle and you can ride him home  you see with a little thought everythings possible.

Its lovely that everyone is enjoying the pics. Thank you All.
