I think Rainbow Bridge would be the place to honour this lil boy the best.

Only just seen this,  Edd I moved that post to the sorted section because when I looked through although the majority in that section have found homes a few cats haven't and I noticed a couple of cases in there similar to this one of cats which have passed.  As you've rightly said we don’t have a section for other than homed cats and I did actually consider putting this one in Rainbow Bridge so I’m more than happy to do that  :)

Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

Tan has created a new board for Urgent Cases and Janey I think is reviewing the threads and transferring the urgent ones in.  ;D

that's right  ;D

Janey

The poor FIV+ cat (with broken pelvis and hip injuries) that was sadly PTS - is a post sorted but is now appearing in "Cats Homed - Post Sorted ". Understand that it needed to come out of the Urgent section but at the moment it is the only sad news amongst all the good news on cats being rehomed.

Would it be worth having a "Posts sorted- Rescue/Rehoming" in addition to the "Post Sorted for cats rehomed". That would enable this and any other posts sorted that does not fit into the "Post Sorted for cats rehomed" to be moved from the posts that are still current.

People post on the main area of Rescue and Rehoming for a range of different reasons and there does not seem to be anywhere for the threads when sorted- a general Rescue and Rehoming Posts Sorted might help  with any rehomings still going into the one for Cats Rehomed as that is all very good news  :))

Hope you don't mind me making this suggestion

PS if that would not work - perhaps the FIV+ cat PTS topic just needs to be moved from the section it is now in.

Possibly not Trigger if the cats coming from a home who wants them out quick  :shy:

What about a section, on top of this section where only the really urgent cases go? As Edd suggested  :) Helps people to find it easily then  :)

just my tuppenceworth - could Rescue and Rehoming be split?

the first is more urgent than the second usually, isn't it?

I wonder if there ought to be a 'Child Board' for Urgent Cases - Cat Rescue/Rehoming.

At the moment it can be put in a number of places under Rescue and Rehoming and may be missed by people who could help.

Only a suggestion  :scared:

I've moved the thread back as Susie, the 12 year old black cat in Sheffield, is in desperate need of a home NOW.

You misunderstood me CC.

What I need to know is where to look to see if there is anything Urgent ie in danger of PTS without having to trawl through adds for cats already being helped by a rescue.

Maybe I have missed something but where is the section for urgent cats needing a placement, the ones here seem to be safely in rescue, urgent cases like the 12 year old black cat should have shown up easily.
