I would take the box with you if possible, it is after all something they are familar with and may help them relax; you can always bin it after a day or two.

I`m in Weaverham.

Cracking good piccie, Mummymaz - they remind me of Anthony Gormley's "Field for the British Isles" - if you're not familiar with it, Google it.  I saw it once at Gateshead Engine sheds, and the sight of all those little faces gazing up at you was unbelievably moving....  ;D  Not as gorgeous as Pretty and Shanks though.  Is Shanks the tabby?

thank you for your welcomes  :thanks: - just 2 weeks till the new lovies come to stay forever - i'm reading up on what i must do, i have a very good vet nurse friend who's been giving me presentations on "the signs of feline stress"  :scared: - the only thing that worries me about them is that i will have to keep them in for weeks, i have a feeling this will stress them out more than the actual re-home  :'(

Chico was very handsome; very like my Bodley. Cat in my avatar is our loveable rescue boy Simba. He was called Alfie fir four years, but we changed his name when we got him; now happily answers to Simba. Just use new name to call them when they are about to be fed. All the best!

Aw, bless 'em both.  I bet they'll be so excited getting a proper warm and dry, loving home of their own with food and cuddles on demand - you'll probably never be able to winkle them out of the house!  :evillaugh:

Hiya and  :welcome: to Purrs  ;D

I'm pleased you're taking these babies into your home, it sounds like they do need some love and cuddles (some cats are very aloof, others, like my boy Poot, need cuddles and laps all the time you're in lol)!

I'd see what names take your fancy when you've lived together for a while, get them something based on their personalities  :Luv2:

Chico was a babe by the way, very handsome  :Luv:

Poot, adopted 14th August 2009. I'm sure Maxy sent you to me sweetie xx

Hi Sue  pleased to meet you!

Well they are named after football "legends" i'm told - Paisley and Shankley but the poor little mites don't recognise their names at all, all they recognise is the sound of a tin opening or a door so they can scoot in for some heat  :'( it would break your heart to see these 2 !!

They are coming from my BF's 'family member' shall we say, he's not a cat lover and its beyond me why on earth he rescued these 2 from RSPCA in the first place, they live outside a pub in a box (in the smoking area) - they were out there all winter in the frost and snow - when i found this out i went up there and pleaded with him to let them in for the night time when the pub was closed, in return when i moved in with my BF we'd have the cats - so it was agreed.

We are moving in on the 1st of April, by the 2nd or 3rd at the latest they'll be with me, my heart breaks for them up there - they are so adorable they would sit on anyone for a fuss they are that starved of affection (i know they ususally dont need affection but these 2 seem to) - they are about 3/4 years old - Paisley the little lady is tabby and has the sweetest face ever, Shankley the boy is alot bigger and is white and ginger - he seems quite gruff and demanding of Paisley (she cleans him when they are in their box  :'()

Hiya Mummymaz - welcome to Purrs  :welcome:

Oh Chico was a handsome lad.  Well worth seeing twice.  So glad you now feel able to take on not one, but two new puds to share your home with.  Do you have names for them?  Sounds like their story is an interesting one, but understand you may not be able to say much about it.   Well done to you.  Am sure it will make Chico proud.
