I just spoke to Sharon. Poor Leo is going to have an exploratory op this afternoon as the vet thinks there is something else going on that his causing him to not eat.  :( - Sharon is too upset to post right now. Lets just hope it is something benign.

Vet nurse rang to say he is brighter this afternoon and temp back to normal.. He is abit more reactive.. Have given him lots of warms things and he has a fire right by his cage to keep him warm and the heating in the surgery still on... Not been sick and has had a wee, but still not feeding himself.. Being given special food that is easy palatable.. The nice vet nurse is going back at 9ish to check on him.. But someone will be around 8am tomorrow... So i hope he keeps his temperature. Not really vocal though as he was yesterday.

Tomorrow they are going to scan him and see what if anything they can find.. Whatever it is i hope something can be done to my special boy and that we can get to the bottom of him not really eating.   Its good that his temperature has returned he just needs to maintain it really..

So another sleepless night.. I have really been through the wringer lately and feel drained...
So everyone pls send all the positive vibes and thoughts to my beloved boy who i love dearly

I feel terrible! I have just come back from the vets.. leo isnt so good today and the vets think its something else then just kidneys.. He was drugged up and hence not really responding.. he still isnt eating and overnight his temp fell and they had him all wrapped up to get it back up again.. He was not the Leo i know and loved for 14 yrs  and i feel very tearful....

He is on drips and today they have put him on a antiidepressant... They are ringing me at 5ish with update..

The worry is that he may not be able to maintain his temperature...which is not good.
Tomorrow they hope to do a  scan (which does not need an anthitetic) to see what is going on.. I dread it.. i really do... I cannot tell you how emotional i feel to see him so down.. He is still being fed..I took him a head pad for  him and his blankets with some food and chicken.. But he was not interested.. I spent a good half hour talking to him and giving him chin rubs... Why he was perkier yesterday and not today...
All together a reall emotional rollercoaster... and my poor Leo just has to be strong and brave.. I am doing all i can to help him. But there is something else going on...my heart sinks to worry what it is.

Just arng the vets and heis okay, but still not really earing on his own. His renal bloods were abit high but not amazingly. A good sign is that he is more vocal today.. and his temperature is about normal.. They are managing to get some food into him and he seems to be very good, but not as yet eating on his own.. Maybe it just takes time for him with all hie has been through.

The vet said he seems comfortable and is on meds to stimulate appetite, still on fluds..and antibotics as well.

So i suppose some improvement in his general character...its not quite 24hours yet. And the vets did say he maytake a bit longer then a younger cat would. So i just hope and pray that he starts to eat on his own...once all the meds and fluids have helped..
So keep sending positive vibes Leo's way
I am ringing again at 5ish..

The vet have phoned. He is staying in the night as it does not make sense to stop fluids and want to make sure he starts feeding.. His kidney levels abit high but not terribly...He has had something to stop him feeling sick and something to drop his temperature.. Which seems to be working.Although he was never sick at home..Vet says it may take a few days to get any toxin build up out his system and he is being syringe fed as well as liquids.. He has a hot water bottle and is comforable..

Although I would love him home, he has to be abit brighter and eating otherwise it just means another journey to the vets. And the fluids do take a while to work.. So i am calling them around 11ish tomorrow..

But luckily my vets is now open all Sat and AM Sundays.. Which makes a huge difference to things..I think he is in the best place..
All the stress and worry has done me in this week as well. I am tired and worn out an proably have not eaten much myself this week.. At least i know whatever can be done to get him well is being done!

I hope so as well..He was only on metacma less then 2wks before and after..with a reduced dose after.. I know that operations and stress can change things...he has not been sick..I have been giving him vegetable stock, some cat milk and water all the time for some variety.. When i took him on wed.. he was not dehydrated.. although not really eaten much, he has the days before.. It may be that he is bunged up.

Of course i can worry all i like but there is not much to be done... But i do feel for my poor fella.. I think the fact that he is a Siamese and they are quite sensitive to things does not help.. But i am glad i did take him down again..
Nothing ever seems straighforward in life at present.. I was going out today and tomorrow but have cancelled as not feeling up to it..
