it's very easy to see why he was special, and why you are going to miss him

how wonderful for both of you that he had that 18 months with you, though

Some of you may remember me from about 18 months ago when i was looking for a friend for my siamese cat 'Castle' after he lost his sister to cancer.  Well I found Timmy at the wonderful Siamese Rescue and he has been the sweetest old boy ever - sadly though he passed away yesterday.  He had Oral Sqaumous Cell Carcinoma, and despite an operation in September last year, the cancer eventually came back and claimed his life.  He was a fit and healthy cat right up to the very end, there were no signs of sickness or illness - just a huge lump on his face that kept growing and eventually started to break it's way through the skin...at this point I decided to let him go.  I could not bear the thought of him in pain - which according to my vet he was days away from experiencing.

This is Timmy, just 10 minutes before he was put to sleep - I am going to miss the old guy so much, he really worked his way deep into my heart even though I only knew him for 18 months of his 15.5 years on this earth.  Goodnight Timmy, you will never be forgotten xxx
