Roxie has been rescue longer than expected and still looking for her home.
Roxie is approx 6 to 8 years old though owner told us 9 years old. She is the most loving girl ever. She is good with other dogs and has lived with cats. Her owner told us she kept snapping at her 2 year old, we have kiddie tested her and she hasnt shown agression but due to what he have been told we think it is best she is homed with older children.
here is what Roxies foster mum said about her:
Hello,
I am Roxies foster mum so I thought I would take a minute to update everyone following her journey.
Roxie has blossomed into an amazing dog. She is very eager to please so proving a star with her training. She picks up new things very quickly and we have started to train her basic everyday commands that we beleive are usefull. She has learned 'sit', 'lie down', 'settle down' and 'in your bed' We are also working on a 100% 'give' (for when she plays fetch') and also 'out the kitchen' (usefull when you have a small kitchen and lots of hot pans!)
Roxie amazes everyone with her age. Its just so hard to beleive she is 9. I take her for a 45 min jog in the morning which she really enjoys and then about 1hour in the afternoon with my other dog where we play fetch and meet the neighbourhood dogs. She is very well socialised with other dogs and has a 100% recall. She works well with a canny collar / halti and is learning to walk just as well without.
She is not a 'barker' but will bark at the doorbell which we are teaching her to tone down with the command 'leave it' and again, she is picking this up well.
Roxie is everyones friend. She holds no grudges and takes everyday as it comes. She is a little ray of sunshine. She loves a fuss, she loves getting things right and she is just a perfect dog. We also have not had any problems with Roxie and children and she has enjoyed supervised fuss from a 5yr old and an 8yr old.
We are really enjoying having her.
