I do love a happy ending :Luv:

anyone who finds a cat and takes it in is doing a good turn, as long as they make every effort to find an owner - at the very least having the cat checked for a microchip

I wonder if Daisy has decided the outdoors is not for her - or will she now want to go roving with Tigger?

Thanks very very much, ive read a few, but find it hard its so sad.

Here you are (taken from another thread with a successful outcome):

My own vet told me a story about one of his feline patients.  The cat and his owner lived in Dorset.  One day the cat went missing and did not return for several weeks.  Meanwhile his owner had to move here to Fulham.  He gave up hope of finding his cat again but kept in touch with his former neighbours just in case.

Eighteen months after the chap had moved to Fulham, he got a call from his Dorset neighbour: his cat had strolled into their garden one day completely out of the blue.  He drove straight down to Dorset, confirmed the prodigal cat was his, and brought him up to Fulham, where they now live happily together.

Never give up hope

A few people ive spoke to said if they seen a stray cat they would take it it and i asked then what would you do? they said nothing.  I would hate for a wandering cat to be taken in, without wanted a new home.  Ive told them all to list on your website and too phone cat protection league as our local team, especially maureen who fosters them all in her house (FOC) do a great job of getting them back too there homes.

....and thanks again

It gives me great pleasure to change your thread title for you.

You may have read my tale elsewhere of a cat near us who was missing for eighteen months: never give up hope.

AT 5am this morning(half asleep) i heard the cat flap click and in came tigger, then a few seconds later i heard another click...... then a meow which was her, followed by her hello chirp(only cat owners know what i mean)

Shes had 3 bowls of food and is so happy to be home, she was either very lost or trapped somewhere but im guessing that Mr Tig went out and found her.

we are so happy and thank everyone for there help.

kris and clare.

(P.P.s there is still hope for alfie and lila to come home now)

I am so sorry to hear this: here's our list of tips http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,305.msg3901.html#msg3901

I hope Daisy comes strolling home soon.  Cats are pretty resourceful when it comes to survival in all weathers, by the way

PLEASE HELP. Christmas day we got home to find a jammed open cat flap, we have a microchip cat flap and only out big cat tigger can use it but when he has come in during the day it must have jammed open with the bad weather and daisy must have got out.

She has never been out before.

We are absolutly shocked and gutted and as you tell by my user name ive been through this all before, when little alfie who is tiggers mam was 3 she just dissapeared and then 8 months later so did lila her sister.

We live in gateshead opposite a field, she is a white/tabby cat with a long fluffy tail(tabby tail) she has been spayed and she is microchipped. She is a medium/long haired and is mainly white with a few tabby patches.

We have did the obvious, checked under cars, in the field, the bushes, knocked on doors and emptied the dyson in the snow out side the front door. Any other ideas.

What temp can cats Survive??

oh and 07929167193 kris or clare  :(

p.s Just so people know we rescued daisy back in june as a kitten from cat protection league after spending 12 long months hoping that Alfie and lila would return and we wanted daisy to be a indoor cat but seeing her pal mr tig going out must have made her decide to find out what is happening out there.
