Hopefully we can put the rug in position properly today  

We bought two lovely thick rugs in John Lewis a while ago to go in the dining room. We put the smaller one down but Willow peed on it twice. The larger one had been in its wrapper leaned up against the wall for months. On xmas eve, OH said we can't take it back and Willow seems to have stopped spraying so we should give it a go. We started rolling it out but Kylie was on it before we got a chance to roll it out properly   - THEN - oh was on the computer when he suddenly noticed Willow squatting on it   - I have sprayed it with industrial strength urine remover and hope for the best. We may have to ban cats from the dining room which is a shame but we can't keep replacing rugs.

Kylie loved playing with the paper. The only wrapped presents we had were from OHs friend - Hand Knitted scarves from Norway and a stocking full of Fortnum & Mason chocolates (and some sherbet dip dabs  )

I lit the wood burner for the first time today - Alice was a bit wary but as the heat built up, she decided to stretch out in front of it - it was too warm really but it being xmas day & all that..........

Willow was trying to help herself to my dinner so I gave her some more turkey
