It's not good news I'm afraid guys. It looks very much like Dylan has a tumour on his lung and he's very poorly. The vet checked him over and took his temp which was normal but she was very worried about his breathing. She managed to do an x-ray with him still awake, bless him he just sat there and let her do it, and there is a white mass in an area which should be black and she thinks it is very likely to be a tumour. I have left him at the vets as we thought it best he was there and being watched over the next day or two rather than him go downhill and me have to use the emergency vets (esp as it's Vets Now). He's had a steroid and antibiotic injection to try and make him comfortable and help him breathe a bit easier and we will have to see how he goes. If we can get him comfortable and eating again he can come home for however long he has left but we will have to see what's best for him and may have to make that awful decision.
I am in bits here, it's such a shock as he's been fine up until today, eating, drinking, doing all his usual things. The vet says that often happens though that they go on for ages and you wouldn't know there was a problem then all of a sudden it starts to affect them. Poor Hobbes is wandering round looking for Dylan and doesn't know what's going on, he spent the morning snuggled up to Dylan on his bed, I think he knew he wasn't well.
I will ring the vets later to see how my boy is doing, he's really not well though bless him. Please send all prayers and positive thoughts his way that we can at least give him a little more time.
