wee update on Chi Chi   :Luv:

She has come round wonderfully now and is such a sweet affectionate little girl, definitely doesn't like rough though has to be gentle strokes! lol   ;)

She loves to be called 'beautiful girl' and you can see her eyes light up and her wee purr starts to kick in.  She really is SUCH a sweetheart.

She's settled down really well and the other cats don't bother her anymore so all her aggresive growling has stopped and she is much more content.

As soon as you walk in the big eyes follow you round and she will sit by the door waiting on you opening it for a wee pett and a cuddle.

This little sweetie really does deserve a wonderful home and I have to admit I love her to bits, but then I do have a soft spot for exotics! :Luv2:

She is absolutely stunning! If I had more space and was working I would offer her a home in a heartbeat (I'm rather good with the shy ones).

But she is in the best possible hands and I'm sure her perfect forever home will come along when the time is right :Luv:

well I suppose she cared enough to call and we got a bit more 'truth' this time! :tired:

From what I can gather she has been on her own to date BC so not sure.  Also she is so unsettled at the moment she is scared of everything.  I should know more as the next week unfolds for her.

I love exotics and their characters.... this wee angel just deserves so much more!

well the good news is that tonight li'l miss chi chi actually let me speak to her without hissing at me. Progress!!  ;)

She allowed me to give her big ear rubs n strokes and even let out a wee trilly purr for me, was so pleased as she was so miserable yesterday. :)

We are starting to wonder if the story we were given is even the truth after we had a fone call tonite from the lady who handed her over.  :tired:

We had been told the aunt (owner) had died and the neice had taken chi chi on but couldn't keep her. On probing her tonite for info I gleane that said 'aunt' is still around and the neice had her 5 years!!

In that time chi chi has not seen a vet for checkups, vacc's etc, as far as we are led to believe, so does make us wonder if the reasons for giving her up are even true!  There again lady didn't know (seemingly) that cats needed to go to vet for check ups but also thought chi chi was a long haired persian! <sigh>

At least now that she is settling and getting decent food into her we can improve her general condition and well being and get her coat back to beautiful and soft as it is very dry just now and her skin itchy from a flea allergy reaction.

hopefully she will settle more over the next few days and her character will start to show. Then, when less stressed we can see about a vet check for this wee star :Luv2:

ahhh the poor little darling .... she will be a bit shell shocked from losing her slave and then her replacement home and as she is an exotic she will naturally be quiet sensitive.  I'm ure with a bit of TLC she will come round though      She looks like a real beauty  :Luv2:

that we will in time.  she is very scared just now bless her but she is eating well and resting.  We dread to think what may have happened to her if we had not got her as she was advertised as free to good home.

will get some better piccies once she settled a little more :)

Chi Chi - Sweet Exotic Girl Lost and Trying to Find Her Way (Homed)
« Reply #1 on: November 29, 2009, 21:40:32 PM »
I'd like to introduce you all to Chi Chi who was collected by Paul and I yesterday evening in a bid to save her from being bounced around the freeads for the next few months and ending up lord only knows where.

She is a very shy 12 year old exotic who is feeling very very lost.  Her owner died and the cat went to live with a relative who cannot keep her as she is moving away. As a result little Chi Chi has found herself looking for somewhere else, yet again, to stay.

She is a complete sweetheart but is very scared and needing lots of reassurance at the moment but we are sure that over the next few days she will begin to settle and find her feet.  Our heart goes out to this little one but at least we know she is safe and loved with us and we will make sure we do the best by her for a new home.  :Luv2:

Sorry about the pic but I got it on my phone last night.  Don't want to freak her out any more today with a camera flash so will get some more piccies once she has settled a little more.
