So Glad Petie is recovering his equilibrium.  He looks very lovely, regardless of his little accident.

Paola - we have exactly the same problem with Paddy, and hit on exactly the same remedy, although I wouldn't try it if our vet weren't an extremely short drive from us!

Well Stinky Pete has now been allocated a new name of ...... Petie! lol  he didn't answer to Felix and we think he suits Petie oh so muchbetter! lol

Still a slight wiff coming from his coat so have decided to give him a brush through with talc and see if that helps lift the last of it out of his coat.  Otherwise he still has the odd bit of a dicky tum but is looking much much better and is SOOOOOOO loving.  :Luv2:

lol  Well I can report that Stinky Pete is doing much better. We had to bath him as he had given up cleaning himself and has now got himself all preened and looking beautiful.

he is a very stinky pete, i know cos i was there  lol

That you were!   Timsmum folks is my friend Caroline who also helps us out at the rescue.  Please be gentle with her as she has never ever been on a forum before and is a bit bewildered by it all.

Hope to have his details up for adoption soon once his tummy settles down so we can get him into his new home before we stop homing for chrimbo!

 :( aww bless him  :Luv:

I remember when we brought Schui from his fosterers (which wasn't too far away) he did the lot, pee, poo and sick poor fella.  When we got home we took him into the garage and Steve held him whilst I gently sponged him down  :Luv:

I know how you feel... I had a long haired cat many years ago that was very scared of cars, and even a short trip to the vet would regularly result in distressed crying and extremely stinky "accidents" - and as you point out, "unplanned" poops are not solid... Since we was long haired, it had to be a bath as soon as we got home. I felt so sorry for her - first the stress of the car to the point of soiling herself, then the stress of getting a bath! Poor little girl... Eventually I learned she did much better if she sat in my lap (it was Italy and a long time ago, so it was not illegal and she was a very gentle cat); she would lean against my chest and drool all over me while making the crying sounds, but at least she didn't get as scared and she wouldn't have stinky accidents. Since she was also able to drop a ton of fur when stressed out, regardless of the fact that I groomed her every day, I would arrive at the vet completely covered in cat hair and cat drool, a sight to behold...

This little sweetheart came to us yesterday after a friend of ours came accross him after responding to an advert as his owner no longer wanted him due to family allergies.   Anyhoo.... our little fella's name is actually Felix.... BUT on bringing him to us Stinky pete decided to empty both his bladder and bowel enroute.

End result was one very very very stinky kitty   to make matters worse he has been semi loose and when we pulled him out the carrier he looked as thought he had been rolling in it from head to toe   not at all pleasant and it takes quite a bit to make me gag!

We left him yesterday to try and clean himself up but I suspect that he's had enough and still has some remnants and a rather distinct 'pong'.... so looks like its gonna be bath time tonight when paul gets home!   luverly!
