just thought i would add my imput!!

bout a year ago when natures menu still did the 200 gram pouches it was sloppy and my cats liked it.

the production people went bust and they changed manufacture and it became less sloppy.....cats wouldnt eat it

the new people went bust  about 3 months after, when it wasnt available for quite a while and they found yet another new company to make it.....it became sloppy again and my cats like it again

hope that helps

That's useful to know  :thanks:  I didn't know they had changed manufacturer (once, let alone twice).  I thought they had just changed the recipe.  It was when it went firmer and they changed the flavour - the red packet one changed from something like beef and heart to beef and chicken - that my boys both went off it.  It was unusual because it's not like Jaffa to refuse to even try it!  I will definitely try it again now if they have changed manufacturer yet again and it has reverted to the old texture.

I got some when they were doing 1/4 off, Sam loves it - one of the flavours is quite sloppy, but one is quite hard, just can't remember which is which, as he gets a good variety since he stopped eating.
Please spay your cat

I shall have to give it another. The Munchkin (and Uncle M before him) both loved the original formula but went off it when they changed it. The Munchkin adored the beef & heart flavoured one- are they making that again?

I found a single pouch floating around in the cupboard when I had a tidy at the weekend.  I gave it to Mosi and he ate it all so I might risk buying a box.

Im down to the last couple of boxes of the original kind that i bulk bought back before they hiked the price up to a rediculous amount, my lot are not so keen on it anymore hence it lasting soooo long. Thought id never see the end of the purple pile

That sounds promising.  To begin with it was a bit sloppier then it went very firm.  I think I will get a box to try.  Mosi will probably eat it up if Jaffa refuses.  Hopefully absence will have made the heart grow fonder.

I've been trying Poot on it, and he seems to like all but the green flavour one!

The texture seems wetter than I remember it being when Max had it, a bit more sloppy whereas it used to be more solid and had to be mashed up?

Poot, adopted 14th August 2009. I'm sure Maxy sent you to me sweetie xx

Who is still feeding nature's menu?  It's been off the menu here for a while (excuse the pun) as they changed the recipe and the texture was totally different.  They hated it and Jaffa refused point blank to eat it (the only think he has ever totally refused).  I was just wondering whether it was still the same of whether it has changed since then?  The texture went quite dry and it would stick to the pouch so that it was difficult to get out.  I always found some flavours worse than other.  Mosi could be persuaded to eat it now and then but I don't think he liked it all that much.  I am thinking of trying it again but was just wondering whether it had changed at all.  I've not bought any for over a year.
