It must be so hard and I have a 4 month kitten here who walked in out of the snow 4 days ago, she is going to need a new home soon cos my big cat Misa doesnt like her.

I hoped that some one would be missing her as much as you miss Smokey but sadly it seems nobody is.

it must be so hard to never know

but the many stories on Purrs and elsewhere of lost cats finding good new homes offers some hope that Smokey is safe and well somewhere, and remembering perhaps the folk who loved and cared for him before he got lost

Unfortunately we never found him. However we have lovely memories of him and talk about him often although it is very hurtful. I just pray he found a good and loving home.

Unfortunately we have never heard anything about our baby. It is difficult not to lose the hope although there is no day I wake up thinking:
Today is the day! Today he might come back!
I just pray he is alive and someone nice took care of him.
Thank you all for your lovely words of support

Going through a similar situation so I feel and share your anxiety and pain - fingers and paws crossed for his safe return.

I'm not sure whether I've missed it in your post - but where do you live / did Smokey go missing from?

Hello Natasha and   :welcome:  to Purrs sorry to welcome you under such circumstances

Could Smokey have jumped into a car/van?

Are you leaving some food by the back door and/or in the garden?

Have you seen Buddy's story?

Tigger did turn up a couple of weeks later!...i wish i had an idea of where she had been!..twice she has done that now

Smokey is missing please help us find our baby
« Reply #1 on: November 10, 2009, 19:33:09 PM »
Our little fur baby Smokey has been missing since Tuesday 3rd November. He went out in the morning as usual and never came back. We are absolutely desperate and would do anything to find him as we are missing him so much! We've tried posters, flayers, advertising in the local newspapers and nothing! Not even a single call about one wrong sighting or at least words of support. I am getting extremely worried that something could have happened to him. We do not leave in the busy road, quite opposite so I would exclude RTA!
No dogs in the neighborhood either so if we are talking predators then another cat or an urban fox is much more likely!
Completely confused and distressed about our little baby!
If anyone has any additional advice please help.
Thank you
