Thanks for that, now I understand alot.

Rainbow is the black cat and Duffy the black and white.
When Margaret got them she had not long since lost her old siamese who was called Blue. She wasnt given a copy of the Rainbow Bridge poem and said her next cat would be called Rainbow. When she was offered an all black kitten it appealed to her. The kittens were hand reared as their Mum was stolen from the rescue centre. Because of that Duffy was more black and yellow than black and white when she got him. The vets werent happy about him being bathed though because he was tiny (hes not now!) so they told her he had to stay a scruffy duffy for while.
Hope that helps

Lovely story about the names  :Luv2:  My 'inherited' cat was called Tiny because when we went to pick him up (the first time we'd seen him)  we said 'Aww isn't he Tiny'.  He was previously called  Blackie but we didn't keep the name because he wasn't black whereas our other cat (Korky) was.

It must be a big shock to lose their meowmy , have lots of strangers in and out and then to be moved to somewhere new but am sure he will become so happy soon

Aw bless.  I'm not sure who's who but the black puss in the bottom pic liooks so sad - he must be missing his mummy and doesn't realise yet that he has wonderful new parents.  I 'inherited' a mature cat when his owner died and he settled in no problem.  Mind you, he'd been on his own in the house in winter, with no heating and just a neighbour coming in to look after him for 5 weeks while his mum was in hospital so I think he's he'd got over his initial sadness and was just glad for a nice warm bed.

Welcome to Purrs by the way.

I am really pleased that something was sorted for these two, odd response from the RSPCA, wonder how they deal with strays? Am sure they will come out of hiding soon, but at least they are safe and warm .
Please spay your cat

 :welcome: to Purrs

The boys are gorgeous  :Luv2: It's bound to take them a little while to settle in as it's been a big upheaval for them, losing their human Mum, being left all alone then taken to a new house with a new Mum & Dad.  I'm sure they'll reward you in time with lots of love and cuddles  :Luv2:

My apologies. I did take my camera over yesterday but as Rainbow was behind the blinds at the window and Duffy behind the settee there wasnt much chance of photos  :evillaugh:

As you say hopefully we will get photo updates

Well Rainbow and Duffy are on their way to their new home  :wooooo: :cheer: :wooooo: :cheer: :wooooo: :cheer:

Rainbow went into his box quietly but Duffy decided to hide behind the settee and do the overflowing cat bit where for each part you pick up another part attaches itself to the floor and becomes a dead weight. That said when they were both in boxes Duffy did the chin on the bars eyes closed enjoyment when Rick stroked his chin. Beautiful to see  :Luv: :Luv:

Im sure they will be really happy and loved in their new home

Thank you so much to Michelle and Rick for giving them a chance and to Michelle (furbabystar) for suggesting them to her friends.

OMG OMG OMG Woooohhoooooooo
They're coming tomorrow!!
Of course now Im worried that the cats will go and hide and have to be dragged out which isnt a good look but I have explained that they are both very timid as they've had strangers in and out been left and stuff.

Michelle Thank you so much.
I appreciate this more than words can possibly say.

The couple are really excited and even prepared to go and get them tonight....bless them. The lady was in tears as it upset her thinking about the boys being on their own and just losing their human mum
