Well what I like about it, Lynn, is that it's really easy to take the top off - whether you just open up one end (like in the pic above) or take the whole top off.  It's always hard to get Jaffa out of the carrier at the vets and even though his old one does come apart you have to take the door off first and it's a bit of a faff.  The clips on this one are attached to the top and the whole top can be removed in seconds.  Just flipping up the front would probably be enough to make it easy to get him out or even examine him in the carrier.  It also has a handy little slot on the top to slide the seat belt through for when in the car.

It's nice looking too!   ;D

and what makes this one better ??

i dont care about cat carriers, mind you ive never had a cat that has any real problems with them.  i can see that one would be easy to use and take apart if need be though.
the only ones i hated was the stupid wicker ones that looked like an old fashioned under water diving helmet..hated them !

That looks lovely - reminds me I've got to buy another one as I really don't think I can fit both on mine in one carrier anymore.........or if I did I don't think I could carry it with both of them in there, Cruz is definitely more well built than Jet  haha

Its very cool Susanne! Mosi seems to  :Luv: it

I have a wire basket for large cats as i worry about the plastic clips failing on other types. When i box up at work i always double check peoples baskets and i normally find one clip not done up properly

Reynard (Witty) has one but I can't remember who else.  A lot of us were hankering after them if you remember!  ;D

It's this one

Sorry the pics are a bit crap - they were taken on my camera phone (and it's not blue like it looks in the 2nd pic - is black and grey)

I have cat boxes that are top opening and I also worried about my fat cat Ted falling out. I just keep hold of the bottom and never just hold the handle when he's in there.

  ;D

Hankered after one for so long and now I have one  :evillaugh:  Will post pics of it later.  Just got the one as I'm not sure it'll be big enough for Jaffa but I think I'll try it with him when he goes back to the vet in a month or so about his vomiting and see how he gets on with it.  It's big enough for Mosi.  Only thing I'm a bit nervous about, neverhaving had a top opening carrier before,  is having the handle attached to a top that is just held on by a few clips - cant' help worrying about the clips coming undone when I'm carrying it and the bottom half falling off!
