Oh no, I'm so sorry. I was just reading your other thread. Yes, big rescues do usually check for things like that.

RIP Naboo. :RIP:

So sorry to hear this, it is sad when you only have them for a short time we have experienced this too with oldies

RIP Naboo xx
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

they do usually test I think and then pts (well my local branch does anyway) in house tests aren't that accurate though

I'm sorry about Naboo, it must have been a big shock

our poor Naboo has gone to the rainbow bridge today after the vet found he had feline aids & was too poorly :(

we only got him 5months ago from the rspca so feel very upset that we've only had him such a short time.

He was found as a stray by the rspca & I'm just wondering if anyone knows what health checks they are supposed to do on strays before re-homing them? Should they be testing for feline aids before re-homing? He was 10 years old when we adopted him.
He's has been a house cat for the last few months so I doubt he caught it in the time he was with us.
