So glad he's home!  ;D

Incidentally, lucky you living in Cleator Moor- it's a grand part of the world I think. I love West Cumbria. Is there still a blindingly good chinese takeaway in Egremont?

Good news everyone , we've got buster back !  He was found on a farm 10 miles away from our house . The farmer had seen him running on and off the road and hunting in fields , he had tried unsuccessfully to catch him untill this morning when he borrowed a trap from a friend and he caught him straight away ! It was exactly 2 weeks since buster went missing and we'd really given up hope so it just shows you NEVER GIVE UP !   The farmer also said that the bell we had put on busters coller  to save birds lives had prevented him from hunting successfully so it could have cost him his own life. How buster had got ten miles away we don't know ? Good luck every one who is missing a cat just remember it is possible for a happy ending !

I am sure it is pure torture but loadss of cats return home in two weeks or longer

The main thing is never give up hope until evidence gives you proof.....yes you may have to return to some sort of normality while waiting but one day sometimes they just stroll through the flap like they dont understand why you are so upset.

I do hope Buster comes home

Welcome to Purrs, sorry it's under such worrying circumstances  I know two weeks must feel like an absolute lifetime for you but many cats are missing for longer and either return home or are found safe and well

Buster is a 17month neutered , microchipped  male cat , he is black and white a bit similar to the cat on the felix ads he has a black back with a small white patch in the centre. Since he went missing two weeks ago we have searched the town day and night , posted flyers , put up posters , phoned cats protection , the vets , the local cleansing dept .We have tried every thing we can think of and he seems to have just vanished from the planet ! we have also put his details on other websites and although they have been a great support with everyone in the same boat we have had no news at all . We feel exhausted by the stress of it all and our imaginations running riot , what i would like to know is what is the statistics of missing cats returning after two weeks . Being realistic busters life could have ended the night he went missing , its knowing when to stop looking and try and regain some normality and let nature take its course , Because i've looked at the cat flap in hope for two weeks now and i have sobbed several times a day . this is pure torture !

Have just added your location into the title .

I am sorry that your cat, name please, is missing and here is a link to the best things to do and posters and fliers are on top of the list

http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,305.0.html

You never give up hope until there is evidence to do so and we have had two cats on Purrs return home after 4 months and 58 days respectively in the last few weeks.

A picture would also be helpful and to know what you have done to find your cat .

I hope your cat is found very soon
