Happily, there isn't much to report! I am just in heaven, my babies are wonderful and I am beyond thrilled to have them back in my life.
Chilli is now loving Dave again. They have rough and tumble sessions, a particularly energetic one happening very early this morning with Dave bouncing all over the flat in happy excitement, including bouncing over me in bed. I was not quite so happy or excited
Chilli spends the majority of her day asleep on my bed, she has a corner and then at night she slopes off elsewhere and Dave sleeps on the other corner. In the morning Dave moves up for cuddles (and hopes to wake me to feed him) and Chilli is more and more often coming to sleep with us for the last couple of hours in the morning.
I have Dave on a bit of a diet as his tummy is a little too expansive and I think it has reduced a bit. He's very good actually and doesn't often ask for food. He just loiters round my feet when I'm in the kitchen in the hope I'll take pity and give him something.
Neither has shown any want or desire to find out what is beyond the front door. Chilli will try and nosey into the hall when I come in or anyone is at the door but soon forgets her interest and never asks to go out.
I had my niece over on Saturday for the night and the pair of them were wonderful with her. She's 8 and loves animals so just wanted to spend all of her time with them and they happily let her. Chilli rolled over for tummy rubs and enjoyed a major cuddle session and Dave came for cuddles, played with her and even slept on her bed. So proud of my babies
I was trying to give a perspective of the size difference with this one as Dave is about two and a half times the size of Chilli (half the man though
)
The babies earlier this evening.
You can sort of see how big Dave is here in comparison to my laptop and also, the sofa isn't small and look how much space he fills!
Chilli, snoozing in her corner. Had to take these in the dark or she would have caught on to what I was up to and moved.
