Made my day this did. Popped down to local Tesco superstore this morning for some bits & pieces. When I came out of the store, I noticed a little black cat by the main trolley bay. She wasn't very old (I'd say around 8-9 months) and although nervous and cautious, she looked very, very hungry. Luckily, I'd just picked up some Sheba pouches so I opened one for her and my goodness, did she hoover it up. I was just wondering what on earth to do next when a lovely lady (the Good Samaritan) hoved into view, also with cat food. She told me she'd noticed her three days previously and has been down every day to feed her. She'd asked about her in the store and the staff said the poor little thing had been hanging around for a couple of weeks- apparently, they've been feeding her occasionally as well. Anyway, Good Samaritan said she'd decided she was going to take the dear little girl home with her, and presuming she has no home (bet she doesn't) and will get on with her own cat she's going to adopt her (if it doesn't work out she's going to ring CP). She's already booked an appointment with her vet, bless her, so that the little girl can be checked out and a date set for her to be neutered (although we fear she's already pregnant
). Good Samaritan had been intending to come back later, with her daughter, to collect her but as I was there to help and because we didn't want to leave her there any longer (what with all the cars and noise, plus it was rainingl), we did it between us. I was so happy to see the Good Samaritan drive off with the little girl all snug in the back of the car. The staff were well chuffed too. So nice to know there's some good people out there.
