Still resting though did have a little outing to garden centre for lunch yesterday, bumped into 2 lots of people who had got their cats from me, both doing fine so that was nice, one of the cats some of you will remember well Marvin the Magnificent his dad registered on forum but hasnt been on for over a year, hopefully I`ve talked him into returning and posting pics.
Will be going to daughters for dinner early this evening so will be wonderful to see grandchildren outside of hospital bed, poor Ted has been very wary of me after seeing so many drips and tubes.Must confess I did do some work yesterday, I placed the little baubles on our Christmas tree

Now full 24 hours passed previous record time for being home so keeping everything crossed and being very careful.

Just cos you have extra long oxy bottles please take care if you are swanning around shops cos long periods out, how everr lovely for you can make you very tired and your wheels wont notice this of course

but you body will after the event

Doing ok thanks Gill, still resting and being very careful. Had a visit from Fire Officer today female one, she has fitted some super smoke detectors for us and given me a talking to incase of fire, said if I am in bed and alarm goes off to stay in room but put padding along floor by door and stay put till firemen come up ladder to window, told her by the time that happened I would have gone puff in a ball of oxygen

Hopefully I will be bright enough for a little adventure into the outside world tomorrow.

Thanks All, got dressed this morning but resting as still feel a bit unwell and not sure if this infection will turn nasty or not, at present I am convinced it is a pocket thats emptied, temp is ok and I am being careful.
Oygen man been with new bottles so I can make good an escape to shops when I feel ok and he has fitted a conserver on for me which will increase the time my bottle lasts from 3 to 10 hours, so yet another problem solved.

I hope its a blip and not the infection back but do get in touch with your docs just in case. Im sure your grandkids will prefer you well rather than pressies. You can always have another christmas in january which will give them something to look forward to if youre worried. A friend of mine was so ill at christmas we decided to do a forum christmas on the 25th June and it was a really special day for us all.

Not phoning doc until I am certain its necessary, have rested and Rob just gone to buy a thermometer as only one I have been up too many cats bums to use in my mouth

Dawn I asked about having the intravenous antibiotics at home last week and was told definately not possible, need 3 lots a day nurse administered and not only that canulars collapse after max of 2 doses on me because my veins have had it through so many needles. The only antibiotic I am currently on goes in through a nebuliser straight to lungs to help prevent infection, doc said antibiotic pills no longer of use to me due to being over prescribed . Anyway feel a lot less scared than I did this morning so will see how things go, eaten porridge for breakfast and soup for lunch so must be ok.

Just seen this and agree with others, you must ring hosptal or doctor cos if you leave it it will be so much harder to clear.

I know you want to have fun and enjoy things but your health must come first, little blips can turn into big ones, so get rid of the little blip now, do not delay
