Wonderful news Rob,

Within two days of being in bed and not able to exercise the muscles start to lose strength, so Teresa will be very weak now, also when the legs touch the ground the head starts to spin and the legs will just collapse.

Sooooooooooooooo Teresa do not get out of bed unless there is someone to support you cos you dont want to break something and have further cage rest

I am so pleased you are improving and now you must take things easy and allow your body to recover. Slowly slowly is best and Nurse Betty will be there to give you a right telling off tomorrow......mrooooooooooooow meowwwww mrowwwwwwwwwwwww. Now you dont want that do you

I hope you have a peaceful night and losts of quality sleep and you are even more better tomorrow

Evening All,

Update time again, well things are certainly looking better than they have been recently, been to see my mum again tonight and alltho she was tired when we got there she is looking better , breathing better and managing to hold her food down aswell which is a bonus, she is still very weak which is why she hasnt been on the laptop tonight but she sends her love to you all.
She actually tried to get out of bed today but fell in the process and hurt her wrist for which they had to send her for an xray as a precaution, but being stuck in bed with no real movement for over two and a half weeks is going to make you sieze up and feel weak.
Im now feeling much better about her outlook and the doctors are pleased with the way she is now progressing even if the progression is slow, they have also turned down her oxygen levels which is a good sign, but after what she has been through she is very lucky to still be alive and i think now she is more determined to fight this... My mum never ceases to amaze me with the way she battles everything but she's a tough cookie and i cant wait for the day to come when they will let her come home, just when that will be i dont know but at least now she will make it home after all the uncertainty over the last 2 and half weeks...

Off to work soon so will update again tomorrow once i get back from the hospital...

T im so glad your feeling a tad better all you need to do now is take it easy, and do as the Drs tell you and you will be home to your family in no time

Can only echo what everyone else has said T, so pleased that you are starting to feel better but please don't overdo things and do give yourself time to get better properly. Lovely to see your posts and I'm another one who has had to do a quick dash to the ladies to avoid embarassing myself in a large open plan office

I have 3 cats round me and both birmans are howling, Ducha was sick under my new bed this morning and now need to go find out why he is butting my legs rather than sleeping in my bed........sigh

I hope you managed to get some sleep overnight, missus. You don't know how good it was for all of us to hear Rob's update and then - and then - and then!!!! There you woz!

(Well I confess, I missed it, 'coz I was fast asleep in front of the telly

) but myheart sang this morning, and you were on my mind as I woke up. I'd been talking to you in a dream.

And I was struck this morning by the words of a Simple Minds Song, which go something like (apologies for any errors)
