Oh dear Teresa, I despair at your lack of care of yourself!

If we looked after cats the way you look after yourself you would be ripping us to shreads.

Whats been good for your rescues all these years is good enough for you too, take notice

Not a very positive update today, awake most of night coughing, rested all day and I am now certain I have a mega infection again though in truth I think I knew last Friday anyway got a 5pm appointment at doctors, figure if I go to see him less chance of being sent to hospital. I am a tough old boot and will get this sorted

I'm aiming at shabby chic - I've mastered the first part but can't quite get to grips with second   Glad you're managing to do a few things T - you're more organised than I am.   I have yet to buy any presents and the cards I was going to buy are now out of stock.  I blame the Purrs auction - no cards this year.  Topping up the onward and upward vibes

:boxer:  Teresa, we're boiling with rage that someone would treat you so, but sadly ignorance and thoughtlessness are more widespread than swine flu at times.  I think Gill makes a good point - it's often difficult not to feel patronising when you tower above someone in a wheelchair, but then if you have knees like mine, you'd deafen anyone if you tried to squat to a conversational level.  Nonethless, me and Pad will "cum rownd" and sort anyone out wot yer wants us to!  :shify:

And hey - nuffink wrong with Matalan! I am today in fact sporting a long sleeved Matalan T shirt and a black, red and gold beaded necklace I got from there in the summer.    Yeah, I'm not saying I wouldn't like to shop in Coast, Monsoon and Phase 8 or East, but me beer money won't stretch that far.  Fools and callow youth, Teresa!  Fools and callow youth!!

Hey Teresa - we all love you and it doesn't matter if you are a homeless tramp or a millionaire.

Some people just need to shut their mouths and think - if they have a brain that is.

I hope I'm going to see a photo of the cat bed being used very soon  :naughty: :Luv2:

The crass and stupid thoughtlessness of the 'does she take sugar?' mentality is very upsetting but don't let it get to you, Teresa

I'm sure the store staff realised that everyone shops in Matalan now.  Cheap chic is the new black, don't you know daaahling?  :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

Large wooden spoon Gill, I guess I dont want to waste my breath on people like her; however  Rob could do with a big spanking, went food shopping and decided to try to help putting things away, first time seeing inside cupboards in over 2 months and I was so sorry I looked, tins of baked beans slotted in everywhere, box after box of microwave porridge forced onto every shelf, all organisation gone and tins of food stored on worktop because no room in larder unit, so I have had a mini tidy up of larder unit and thankfully things are a little less chaotic, also done same with the poor fridge so thats my work for the day.
Managed Toys R Us and now have Christmas presents for 3 grandchildren so tomorrow will be a day of rest apart from a bit of  gift wrapping.

and if you're sitting the wooden spoon should catch them just where it really hurts - in the case of men, anyway ;D

I can only echo what the others have said and maybe Rob should have included you in the conversation?.

I think its very hard when someones in a wheel chair cos they are on such a different height level and saw an experiment was tried for children in chairs where the chair coud ride up to normal speaking height and that made the chairs users and those around them react normally.

Always the best place to be is when everyone is sitting cos usually its just the height that is the problem and peeps dont think when they open their mouths!

We know you can more than hold your own and suggest you carry a large longhandled wooden spoon for poking them with when they are talking over your head  :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

Take lots of care and dont over do it, lots of good vibes for you

Teresa, go easy. ;) Glad you managed to get a present sorted, and I agree I hate how money matters so much to people. :(

I think the acquaintance of Robs was quite rude actually. How was that reaction fitting or helpful to you being ill? I am sending you a big hug and sending her a  :P ;)

Have a good day and if you do feel up to it, enjoy shopping for your grandkids.

Confession, yesterday Rob took me to Chester for Christmas shopping I lasted less than an hour despite being in my chair and hooked up to oxygen, Rob bumped into an aquaintance of his who treated me like I didnt exist until she was going then touched my shoulder and said to Rob " the poor Bug... " it nearly broke my heart. Anyway found a really nice warm shop with lots of room for wheelchair, then realised it was mega mega expensive and there was me sitting in my Matalan clothes clutching my Matalan handbag that cost £4 with oxygen canular in my nose, Lord knows what they thought of me but I can tell you that once they realised I could afford what I wanted to buy they treated me like royalty, such a shame that money talks so much, anyway thats a present bought. Began to feel ill after that so shot home and rested till the auction as temperature was very high, temp normal this morning so perhaps today will attempt Toys R Us .
