I'm so sorry to hear that you missed your Christmas pass out of the hospital and that you got norovirus

Let's hope that you recover from it quicky and that you're feeling much better by new year. Who knows, you might be able to wangle a get out of jail... errr... hospital free pass for new year instead as you missed your Christmas dinner!

Teresa, you are truly amazing! I'm sorry you had such a rough Christmas Day, and hope you recover quickly from the virus. (I know it's pretty horrific, my cousin (the nurse I mentioned previously) has been around it a few times and I think she's also had it.)

Hoping today is vastly improved and you get to eat a lot of your chocs.

As promised my Christmas adventures, certainly different and memorable

23rd December dozed off around midnight and woke up at 2am violently sick continued to vomit throughout night and by 5am diarrhoea began, doctor summoned bloods taken new drip in place. Specialist came late morning and confirmed i had got Norovirus so my Christmas was cancelled and ward closed again, to be honest I was too ill to care.Daughter flew in late at night to leave her mobile phone here so grandchildren could ring me o Christmas Day.
Christmas Day vomit and diarrhoea stopped but very weak and nauseus, I had a cream cracker and tiny piece of cheese for Christmas dinner which tasted wonderful and got the treasured call from 3 very happy and excited grandchildren. Then IV antibiotics almost sent me through roof with pain when vein swelled up so lovely male NNP came and spent half an hour gently stroking my arm desperately seeking a place to site a new canular, he finally found a spot on underside of my arm which was most painful but will serve the purpose.
Sons and OH arrived for visiting and brought lots of lovely presents which included one of those digital photo frames with pics of them all enjoying the Christmas I`d missed so really wonderful, got beautiful new dressing gowns, pyjamas, slippers and big box thorntons; been informed there are nmore pressies coming today which OH forgot yesterday.
Had the best sleep ever last night but have been confined to bed today as blood pressure gone right down again so foot end of bed is high in the air but I am organised have lapton on tray over bed and my box of choccies on chair beside the bed so life is good after all

Kirst I so remember singing that carol in church last time I took my late mum, mum said to sing it in latin which we both did with gusto until the priest noticed during his procession and told me off, brought back such a happy memory
