There is a dialogue in one of my favourite films:
Hazel - Lord Frith, I know you've looked after us well...and it's wrong to ask even more of you but my people are in terrible danger. So, I'd like to make a bargain with you: My life in return for theirs.
Lord Frith - There is not a day or night that a doe offers her life for her kittens... ... or some honest captain of Owsla, his life for his chief. But there is no bargain. What is is what must be.
I don't believe any bargain can be made with your God, otherwise there would be a heck of a lot of lottery winners around the place and I'd be married to Richard Armitage....what is is what must be. Unfortunately if people really and truly do believe this it can make them weaker (I've seen it happen).
to everyone at the moment and hoping T shows improvement again.
