 :-[ :-[ :-[

I just weighed my '5ml' scoop and it weighed 1g (prob 1.5g in reality as my scales are only accurate to 1g) - I then brushed the powder away from where the number five was written on the scoop and see it has two and point in front of it  :evillaugh:

I would give under rather than over the doseage cos I had to give in both food dishes so Ducha getting as well as Franta.

I am using Genitrix fron vets uk and its got a blue scoop the same as the last two, cos i am on tub 3 now.

I always use about half a scoop Helen

How big is your scoop though Sheryl? Gill's scoop is 2.5ml but mine is defo 5ml - the label says exactly what MM quoted "Cats & Dogs: Give 1 measure (1.5g) daily mixed with the feed ration".

I had to set their feeder before I had a chance to read any replies so to be on the safe side I used 1/2 a scoop per meal (had to dose both meals as there's no telling who will eat which one!) - that's probably 2.5g per meal so slightly over.  My scales are fairly accurate so might see what a full 5ml scoops worth weighs.

Well I have just looked at the containers instructions LOL

Says one measure daily and I read that to mean one scoop.......they said that a measure is 1.5grams, and the scoop says its 2.5mls....how blooming stupid!

Anyway started with one level scoop and then reduced to 1/2 scoop across two meals and now am using about 1/4 in two or 3 meals.

Its works  and thats all I can say........sigh

Averagely a tsp is 5ml and weighs 5g but remembering back to science not all things have the same density so a spoonful of one thing can be much less than another

Viovet says

LactoB dosage?

Riley's runny bum cleared up completely but then I came home today to some loose motions in the tray, so am starting him on the lactoB that I'd ordered but not needed to use as it got better!

Anyway, the tub says the dosage is 1.5g but then the scoop inside is a 5ml scoop which looks loads.  Does 5ml = 1.5 g then?
