Memphis was 3 weeks when he came into rescue without his mum and he's never kneeded. I am sooooo thankful that he doesn't as I don't like it. It's kind of a nails on chalkboard thing for me.

lay me down, let me go, feeling heavy the ground is cold,
lay me down take it slow I'm ready to stumble, sing & then swing low

I will have to get her claws clipped as it really does hurt when she pricks me especially on my chest! Last night when she pierced the skin on my leg several times they all came up like little blisters so its not doing me any good with the sharp claws!

You can clip her claws yourself, as she's young it's the ideal time to get her used to it.  Do you have bunny claw clippers? They'll do the job or lots of people use human clippers, you just need to take the pointy tip off and make sure you're not near the quick which will be a pinky colour.

I clip them around once a month - normally when it becomes unbearable to be cuddled by them  :evillaugh:

Yes i have bunny nail cutters so i will give it a go myself!

I love when Kylie does it as although she is a 7kg 10 year old, she has a kitten face and purrs really loudly  :Luv:

Yes that is exactly what i meant, didn't explain it too well as still thinking in bunny terms!
She is doing it all the time to me so she may well have been seperated from mum early, her age is only a guess as she was found in a field with 3 other kittens.

I just love the way her ears turn around and her face goes vacant when she gets into it.

I like that too  :)

Amber does this so she gets her claws cut quite frequently. I found needle sharp claws on my chest doesnt make for a good look when I go swimming. I just love the way her ears turn around and her face goes vacant when she gets into it. If you talk to her she kind of jumps back to attention and goes all embarassed  :evillaugh:

Oh yes, Poot will paddle you for about 10 minutes before settling down, and if he's going to sleep on his back, he'll paddle the air, its so sweet  :Luv2:  He also does it when he first sees you, headbutts you and paddles the carpet as he's excited!

Not so sweet with sharp claws though, my arms are covered in loads of tiny scratches  :evillaugh: but luckily we managed to clip his claws successfully at the weekend, so its not so bad now !!!

Do you mean almost like they're kneading dough? If so I call it 'paddling' but yes! A apparently it goes back to kittenhood and they do it to the Mum's nipple area to stimulate the milk flow.  I did read that kittens that were separated from Mum too early do it quite often but my boys were with their Mum til they were 10 weeks and they both do it!

I have to clip their claws as it's agony when they do it with pinsharp claws

Fifi keeps sort of digging on me with her claws out, she seems to mostly do it when she is tired, i feel she is almost trying to smooth a blanket out to get comfortable! She did this for 5 mins earlier then curled up and went to sleep on me!
