Anyway, she is tucking into a pouch of Schmusy  game (and renalzin  ) flavour as I type

They have RC renal and regular - oddly the regular is more expensive.

I thought RC was better (but not best) quality than the store brands - it should be @ 3 x the price  - I paid £4.99 a box on offer. It does have the added omega 3 & 6 and egg (I think) which are good for CRF kitties?

Kitekat: With Poultry - Meat and Animal Derivatives (including min. 4% Poultry), Cereals, Vegetable Protein Extracts, Minerals, Various Sugars. Which is not much different from Royal Canin pouches: meat and animal derivatives, fish and fish derivatives, cereals, vegetable protein extracts, derivatives of vegetable origin, minerals.

But if its Royal Canin renal - ingredients look a lot better admittedly: Chicken meat, chicken liver, pork liver, maize flour,
sunflower oil, powdered egg white, fish oil, pork meat, cellulose fibre,
minerals, etc

She has licked the kit-e-kat plate clean and the posh one is untouched 

For a tiny cat, she is very good at eating every scrap if she likes something - unlike the others - I must scoop 1kg of wet food down the toilet each day

I tried one of the pouches Christine sent me and she sniffed it and walked off. She went and started helping herself to kit-e-kat in gravy from Clapton's plate  - He is going mad for it and I wish I had never tried it as he is refusing to eat Royal Canin wet in favour of it  - Why will they eat the rubbish ones but not the decent ones?

She like little chunks she can pick up with a claw   

I am tempted to try the taster pack but feeling nauseous just thinking about it

She won't eat the type of food that has strings of chicken or fish in a clear jelly either 

I am tempted to try a raw food diet but it seems quite complicated to keep up?

I did try a couple of the Schmusy pouches you donated to the branch (swapped them with some other pouches  ) but they didn't get eaten - not sure if they were game flavour?. Usually, game is Willow's favourite flavour. The pet shop in Canterbury used to split boxes and sell single pouches and the lady in there saved the game ones for Willow  - They stopped doing it though. She also likes the Sheba foil in Game flavour but it doesn't come in singles so I have to buy a 4 pack to get one she likes

Renal food with Willow & Clapton is hit or miss. For the last week or so, Willow has refused it full stop. I know the next best thing is food with binders added and the most important thing is the quality (bioavailabilty) of the protein in it. She loves Gourmet gold & Gourmet Perles but they have vegetable (soya) protein in them and cereal. The only type of foods I have seen that are 100% meat are supermeat/pate type ones but she won't eat them. I really need to find one that is chunks in gravy without vegetable protein - any ideas?
