my vets are wont do that and as for the cigarettes and wine analogy i dont smoke and rarely drink and when i do go drinking my friend pays for me as she knows i cant afford it cause im still on JSA but ive applied for a job i actually want so hopefully i will get that

Kally 100 odd Zylkene tablets are the approx following cost - 4 packets of ciggies if you smoke, 4 bottles of wine

have to say that if its a worry for the cost speak to your vet and see if you can pay weekly for some

Less stressed cats = a happier home life!

Really couldn't agree more. We've had bad peeing probs with our 6 for the last few months and have had 5 out of the 6 cats on it (on and off) with fab results. Been so tempted to take some myself coz of peeing probs lol. I've even sprinkled on dry food and it all gets eaten

I've just given Dinah a capsule on her supper in the hope she will zonk out and stay in for at least some of the night.

You may not need to worry about bonfire time, his trigger could be something like a new tom on the block stealing his territory, furniture being moved etc Have you analysed the last few weeks events for something slightly different that could be the cause, i found i could often work out what upset taz and i could then prevent a repeat of events

Well I found the Valerian drops had the reaction to my lot just like cat nip, so to calm them down its dos'nt seem so...not that route anyway!

Zylkene is wonderful - we have our 2 newest ferals on it Indie and Sam - open capsule sprinkle contents on any wet food or tuna and they will eat it just fine - I was sceptical about it but now think it works for our Skitzoid ferals and we have no side effects but calmer happier ferals

Ours will come off it in about a months time - we also have Rescue remedy in a couple of water bowls - they seem to washing their feet in them though

Margocal - from health food shops - check spelling is used by a mate on 8 of her ferals - she is in to all things natural and swears by it

My little man suffers stressed related cystitis as well (has resulted in 2 blockages last year

We now keep his stress under control and using Zylkene and Cystease. We've had great results with Jess on Zylkene he was involved in the initial trials of it in the UK, but not everyone has had the same results I know Maddiesmum with Charlie didn't. Jess really has become confident and friendly, he doesn't shy away no where near as much as he did.

We did also see a behaviourist too, which I definitely helped, as Jess had litter tray issues, these are much better though. We put the stress down to a combination of about 6 things which I would never have thought of which happened within a few weeks of each other. Even now Jess will only wee twice a day but his confident in going to the tray himself and no longer holds it, and if he is feeling uneasy he lets me know and I go with him (things I do for this cat

)

I have used SErene-um drops, they were easier than the tablets - it doesn't taste nice though, was quite bitter, but Kizzy ate her food with it in regardless. It might also be worth getting some Cystaid, which helps soothe the lining of the bladder and is easily hidden in food (could also give it in a treat kind of food)

Hmm! I just put some Valerian drops on a couple of beds and one of mine....well a few are reacting to it like cat nip....Oscar seems a bit "ROARRR" with it as Lola went to get on the bed to and he swatted her away.....I think he thinks its all his....

I will give it another 10 mins or so and check to see if I have any extra chilled out ones....

Is the blood just a new thing? When did he go to the vets for this.....I took one of mine with cystitis and the vet said its down to stress, funny how the ab shot got rid of it though!

as i say though 2 others of mine have had before and showed real obvious signs of it he didnt except for his wee yesterday i noticed red wee and didnt know who it was i was worrying myself sick and noticed he kept going and so every time he went in i was right there when he finished just so i could check and sure enough i found the red wee but it just really upsets me cause hes the baby hes the youngest yes hes 2 and a half buthes still the baby of the lot

Rescue Remedy can be put into drinking water, so they are unaware of that too. (Personally, I'm mean and put a couple of drops straight into Mogs mouth so it gets into her system quicker! She only looks at me like I'm horrible briefly....)

i think we will go for the valerian cause although he doesnt take tablets easily atleast i know it will have gone down him cause the zylkene if i put it into his food i just know he wouldnt eat it hes already very fussy about his wet food

Zylkene. There's also Rescue Remedy, unless you've tried it. Also, Valerian is meant to calm cats.

I just found out salem has cystitus now 2 of ours have already had it thanks to our ex neighbours and their dogs but salem now has it and we think it down to stress and its being treated but its coming up to halloween and bonfire night can anyone reccomend stress product apart from feliway because we have found it has no affect on ours
