:thanks: Lexy has remained at the vets. She will indeed have surgery today. Her bloodwork came back normal so her kidneys are fine. She's healthy enough to have the surgery. The orthopaedic specialist discussed the solution he proposes in securing her knee. So Lexy will remain in tonight after her surgery, I'll probably collect her tomorrow night or Wednesday.

For now she's ok. I got a huge purr when I left her and a snuzzle.

Thanks everyone. There is a strong chance Lexy won't have surgery tomorrow. Sadly her botty is still runny and she's been throwing up last night and again tonight. Still drinking water but if she throws up water I have to take her in tonight.

Either way she may not be well enough for the op.

Sorry, just a little down seeing her and knowing that if she needs a drip tonight I'll now need to worry about her kidneys as well.

All this from a mad run around the house.

They should be back by Monday morning, Rosella, so hopefully we'll know then.

I just need to her to perk up a bit so will be trying to coax her into playing tonight to see if it gets her going.

Yes, her full name is Alexandra. Was my mum's cat's name as well when I was little and we used to call her the Russian diminutive form of Sasha. They look alike so I decided to call her Alexandra too but shorted it to Lexy and she responded to it so it stuck  :Luv2:

Hope the results from the samples come back fine and that Lexy's tum is back to normal soon   On top of her leg, its the last thing she needs, and is probably what's making her feel rotten

How long before lab results come back Ruth?  Is Monday still a possibility for surgery?

Sending the lovely Lexy many gentle cuddles.

Was surprised to discover her full name is Alexandra on another thread.  Shudav realised perhaps.

Morning me lovelies!

Well this morning have delivered poop scooped last night and this morning to vets.  Lexy remains infamous at the hospital and is well known for wanting to get her way.  :evillaugh:

Still a little off this morning, walked right into pen without being asked or manipulated into it, so I know things aren't right. But Lexy is eating and still dreaming her days away watching Animal Planet and using her ESP to communicate with Paddy  :Luv2:

So far so good.

Not sure Baz... I think I need to triple bag it and then ziplock it all in a plastic container to even feel remotely sanitary.  Maybe after... oh ew. Can't believe I'm even thinking about it!

Her Ladyship Faberlush Lady Lexy was a little quiet this morning. I think she's a little off everything right now.

She tumbled a bit last night and landed on the bad side and may have hurt her knee a little. However, the soft poos are still coming.  I spoke to the vets and what I will do is gather tonights and tomorrow morning's samples and take them to them first thing to go to the lab. With the amount of antibiotics she's had gut lining can be affected and bacteria like salmonella and campylobacter can take an opportunity to grow.   So a culture of her poop will determine whether she is capable of having another surgery so soon.

We'll see. I am off home at 6pm and by the time I get there I will be looking to scoop up some poop into a bag and putting it in the fridge

What a lovely life I lead!
