Two weeks minimum, but she is encouraged to walk around.

I am not feeling well today, I think I caught a chill last night collecting her, the waiting room was a bit cold as well. The sudden chill last night must have caused this, so have been home today.

Lexy spent a couple hours crashed on my lap, both of us asleep, and then she toddled into the pen and went to sleep on her donut bed. She's now watching Animal Planet in between snoozes.

The wound is fine, I think she ate through one of the stitches but it looks fine and is healing.

She's able to walk, with a tiny limp and she seems to know her limitations this time. She has tried to jump up on sofa but I caught her before she could.

Oh yes, cage rest when i'm asleep or at work to prevent her jumping as she'll hurt herself but she can be out the cage when I'm around.  Grumpy miss is inside now grumbling, but its for the best.

Lexy's mum is VERY happy. Knee still a little red and swollen, stitches on show  :( but Lexy is happy as pie investigerating her spots. Has used litter tray twice and had some dins and water. Will soon be bed time for her, a 30 minute wonder around the living room has netted a few washes of bum and feet  :naughty:

I am so pleased to see her happy, knocking my feet a few times and being a little madam already with a few growls.  :naughty:

So pleased Ruth  :) :) :)

The wound looks better and the vet doesn't feel it necessary to do anything further to it. It's healing nicely and she feels I may have been worried unnecessarily  >:(

Just think though Ruth if Lexy had been at home and you noticed the wound bleeding  :scared: and vet didn't see what it looked like over weekend so may have been best that she stayed where she was esp if she seemed relatively settled.

Trying to be voice of reason .... not even convicing myself really  ;)

Got a call this monring. The wound looks better and the vet doesn't feel it necessary to do anything further to it. It's healing nicely and she feels I may have been worried unnecessarily  >:(

However! Good news! I can take Lexy home tonight! So will be leaving a little early to get my car then off to collect my baby for 7:15pm :)

All these special thoughts are so very appreciated! Thank you!!

 :thanks:

Lexy remains at vets. Her wound continued to ooze. They are not keen to rush in to do any major repairs right now, so when her surgeon is in tomorrow she will assess further and decide if there is a requirement to do more suturing.

Lexy, I hear, is doing well and is comfortable. She has a hidey hole if she wants to get away from it all but seems to be aclimating to the vets, is even coming to the front of her pen to say hello and the nurses are in love with her little black nose and her curious eyes.

So all in all it's going ok I think.

I spent the night at my sisters and am back home now to do my laundry for the week.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes, it's a comfort to me, especially with the worry over Teresa, it's been a tough weekend to say the least. So thank you.
