One thing these little scraps of Teresa's all have in common - hearts like a lion!  ;) :Luv:  It's like your willingness to fight for them gives them reserves of courage to call on that otherwise wouldn't be there.     And Cracker's lovely, too.  :)

Andy vet has been and rechecked Garcia, the infection is now all upper respitory and his lungs are clear such a huge relief, he is happy that we are keeping ontop of his eye, we are to keep him on antibiotics for at least another week and continue the 3 hourly eyecare day and night.he also said it was lovely to see our little boy rolling around playing with his little mouse. The clever boy even went to his tray to show the vet that he can piddle all by himself. So tired but so very relieved that progress is being made.

Oh wow! Fabby pics... I love to see cats with dogs as we have a dog too and the cats adore him! Its brilliant knowing that his life has been turned around full circle as most dogs that are taught to fight its so hard to get out of their system... So "Well Done" to your son... It must run in the family!  ;)

Now for Garcia Jnr... Little steps forward, non backwards... He is on the forever path! Mumpty strikes again!  :Luv:

Cracker is a cracker  :Luv: Lu and Riley were raised with dogs in their foster home and although they haven't seen a real life one since they were babies my neighbour has four dogs and the boys often peer through the gap in the fence and stare at them, they don't seem in the least bit bothered by them.  When the dogs first get let out into the garden they normally bark in excitement and the boys don't even flinch - even Lu who is scared of other noises like the ironing board being put up!

Sending top up kisses to baby Garcia :care:

Helen
Cracker is sons dog, and lives here, he is a 14year old staffie that son rescued from a life of fighting  in Liverpool  over 12 years ago,he still bears the scars, but he has now been well trained and loves the cats, indeed little Garcia loves him, one pic Garcia looks like he is hissing but no he was waa waa are you my mum to the dog. i must admit to keeping quiet about a lot of animals dont always find time to post but we also have 2 terrapins here kept well away from me and cats.

Garcia is still doing ok got to do his feed in a minute, still only taking from a syringe, hes a clever boy and using litter tray for both ends now but not yet mastered the art of washing himself.

Claire - that's a wonderful piccie of Garcia Snr.  :Luv:   It indeed shows a big likeness, and Garcia Jnr has something aspirational to aim for.  So glad Andy's seen him and is pleased with his progress, but worrying about his eye, poor little soul.  Five weeks old and already faced with such mountains to overcome.      Am sure he'll do it though.   Topping up the vibes and the love for this little feller.  :care: :care:

Hi T

So glad that Andy has had a chance to look at him, but I know the eye is a worry.

Sending lots of cuddles his way and I know Mr Garcia will be watching out for him from the bridge.

I have been looking at pictures of my Garcia today and I can see why I thought of him when the vet asked me for a name.

Added a picture of my big man to show Garcia Jnr what a big boy he has to grow into.

Keep fighting hard and eating lots.

Generally the news is good, Garcia`s weight has increased from 227grams on Sunday to 280grams today; the eye as I expected is a worry, the white tissue that keeps coming away is from third eyelid and inside his eyelids Andy says as long as I maintain the 3 hourly care it should be ok,he was pleased I had changed to aureomycin,  the danger is if the eyelid seals itself to the eye. Andy is doing a home visit tomorrow to do lots of vaccinations so he will look again then. He has had another antibiotic injection as well as a big lunch, still syringe fed though.
Andy is in agreement with me Garcia is no more than 5weeks old. So thats it for now Garcia Junior is a star.
