I expect Tigger has picked up on your anxiety, and that in turn is making him more anxious

I know it's easy said than done, but I would say try to forget about his illness as much as possible, and treat him just as you did before he was ill

My Issey has been on the brink a couple of times in the last couple of weeks but steroid injections have made her so much better.
She has Lymphoma and I am now giving her injections every 5 days

Look you do whatever you have to do to give Tigger extra time....and as long as he isnt suffering you carry on with the steroids

It certainly doesnt sound as if its his time to go xxx

your vet says he's not suffering - you will know when his life is a burden to him, and it clearly isn't at the moment

so make the most of him, love him lots, and he may well have lots of quality and quantitiy life ahead of him yet

I thought Tigger was better with the steroid? if so then I think you and your vet have made the right decision in giving him a longer acting steroid and seeing how that goes. You both see your cat and know exactly how he is, I am sure that your vet would have said if it wasn't the right thing to do and yes, sometimes they do take a while to kick in. My Schui was on steroids for a long time (and they really helped him) until they could help him no more

Hi tiggerl, I think this is a subject that all of us have to consider at some point in our cats lives, most people go for quality over quantity ie. are they in any kind of discomfort while their lives are being assisted through meds or whatever.... It is such a dillema as you struggle with your mind over what is right and wrong. I personally am a strong believer in euthanasia, to give your babes the love and dignity to go to Rainbow Bridge with the knowledge that the time is right, to not watch them suffer.....

I do hope that tigger perks up...

she said it isnt a cure as she things he does have a lymphona . she said this morning that could take till tomorrow morn before it kicks in.
she said if hes able to stretch after he wakes up with his front paws then hes not suffering.
i just think do i say goodbye or carry on the whole time hes still eating and using tray?
also hes seems wary of me which is really upsetting me and has been under bed most of morning. i know it seems selfish

Fingers crossed the jabs work - be careful with long term steroids though, they do have side effects such as diabetes.

hi guys
well hes home thank god

gave him a steriod jab that will last till end of september ish. if he improves like last time we can do it again. she said its not a cure and we will have to see as it goes.
he came for a pamper cuddle this afternoon for the first time in about 6weeks

my only worry,sorry i cant help it is she didnt say starve him tried ringing to check but thats another story lol. so not sure if i should allow him food tonight?
i have to measure what he eats. she said hes not suffering so thats great. xx

Can you asked to be sent to a specialist ??

not sure if i can i want to do everything but not if hes in pain. also going to private vets at mo and im not sure i could afford specialist. please forgive me as that sounds dreadful
