Ziggy has gone to the friend of his previous minder who enquired about him. Did the HV on monday. Ziggy was absolutely delighed to be there, after having looked so depressed at mine and only leaving his blanky reluctantly for a quick fuss with me.

He strode around, tail high in the air offering his head for fuss. His new minders are under strict orders that they need to get in touch with us if it doesn't work out, but I hope for Ziggy's sake it does.

just in case anyone here falls in love...
he is an indoor home only as he geot out and lost while at Nickys for a few weeks so we decided he is a cat with no sense of home and therefore should not be allowed out.

GRRRRRRRRrrr!!!!    >:( >:(   Poor Ziggy.     I have to say I would live in a tent and eat grass rather than part with any cat I've been fortunate enough to own.   And "free to good home.....?"  C'mon.

After being with us for over a year, Ziggy was homed in October 2010.

I am currently waiting for him to be returned to me. Poor Lad. :(

His new owner is moving back in with parents and cannot take him. In Feb this year, poor Ziggy was put up on Gumtree FTGH and after a strong protest from us, we were told that the new owner had intended to go to ?Spain? to care for her poorly grand mother who subsequently died, so Ziggy won a reprieve.

There is a friend of the owner interested in Adoption and we had hoped to get everything in place before Ziggy needed to be moved, hopefully this will still happen but in he meantime he will be staying with me.

update: he has arrived looking wonderful and is not happy to be in the pen. Just letting him chill.

He is absolutely gorgeous  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: Would so love to give that boy a home but simply can't disrupt the current clan  :(

I so hope someone finds permanent space for this handsome lad soon.

By, Ziggy's a right little smasher!  :wow:  It's horrible to think of him being shut out with no place to call home, especially when he seems to be so friendly.  Poor little guy.  Hope he can get a first rate new home where he gets spoilt rotten.

Here is Ziggy in all his glory -

He has come out of himself in the last week or so, and is very friendly and cuddly. He is now actively seeking food, and seems to have put on a bit of weight to me. I caught his washing the ears of Willow, a 13 week old foster kitten this afternoon. Willow was asleep on my lap and Ziggy decided to join him, giving him the once over first.

I do feel strongly he has been a pet at some time, he is so people friendly and obviously used to living in a household with all associated noises. The dog twitching in his sleep seems to puzzle him though!

how wonderful that he has a soft bed and good food now - doesn't sound as if he would have lasted too long when the colder weather comes

Ziggy has settled in very well overnight. He currently tucked up on a fleecy blanket on a chair in the spare room with the radio on for company. He looks very cosy and at home up there.

He has eaten overnight and did have a quick look around upstairs this morning. He is very thin, and has no energy to speak of so will need feeding up for a while. Ziggy is so friendly and has obviously been in a home at some stage, but goodness knows when he last had a good meal.

Ziggy - as Angie has called him, is currently curled up on the spare bed having eat a good meal of Orijon (leaving the tuna wet food!) He is very friendly and cuddly, and really would like to come out and meet the others - one little hiss at Lily earlier, who went to sulk on my bed with Uncle Freddie for company.

He is so thin you can feel his hips and ribs, and has that horrible "sticky" coat that strays so often have. I`m sure with good food and cuddles he will soon be looking and feeling a lot better.

Angie, any idea what he`s like with other cats? Or cat-friendly dogs?

My foster-oldie is going this week to her new home, so might be able to squeeze him in if you`re desp. Could go in the spare room for a bit until he`s settled. Ring me if you need to.

This old chap is a stray and annoying the lady who's door he turned up as. Despite having her own cat she is not impressed with him and wants rid - though she has fed him a couple of times. Petsearch informed. He is a walking bag of bones so either locked in a shed for a while (allotments) or thyroid or something else or all of the above. Like everyone else , we are full, full, full and it stresses me that the poor old man is ravenous and wants in somewhere.
