I also thought Turkish Vans swam - don't they have slightly webbed paws? - or is that a myth  :-[

Yep, as far as I know they do Mark -  didn't know they had webbed paws though  :-:

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

seriously though I don't think you can discipline them as such the only thing my cats aren't allowed to do is steal from our plates at the table so if I find them sneaking a bit too close I just pick them up and put them on the floor

Is there a better way of disciplining incidently?

There's no point in using the words 'cat' and 'discipline' in the same sentence

Fab pics by the way, he looks like he's living having a paddle  :Luv2: :Luv:

We have a spray bottle with water in it that we spray him with for disciplinary purposes, eg when he climbs onto the kitchen counter or tries to steal food off our plates.  It works quite well, but Rajah has taken a liking to drinking the spray directly from the bottle, so for example, he will sit down and put his mouth over the nozzle.  Hubby will squirt a bit gently into his mouth, which he will swallow.  If hubby stops squirting, Rajah will pat the trigger, as if to try and squirt some more himself.  It's the most bizarre thing I have ever seen.  I have a thought that we may be defeating the whole object of the spray bottle being a method of discipline by allowing the cat over familiarity with it, but it still chases him off when we spray a jet across the room to deter him from bad behaviour. :evillaugh:

I have no idea about his ancestry.  His mum looks like a tabby, and his brother and sister all have tabby markings except they have white paws and chest and their colours are lighter.

Rajah has a great love for water and can spend ages paddling in the bath playing with his ball or just trying to catch the drips from the tap and the shower.

Aren't cats supposed to hate water?
