I know I dont have to enter every category, my prob is that there are so many it is going to be hard to work out which ones suit my pics, and then I get fed up and lose interest!! Esp coming so soon after having to pick pics and captions for the diary (which I haven't even finished yet!!)

Welcome to the confuddled world of cat showing, Des!  :evillaugh: Believe me, this is easier than trying to pick out classes in a championship show, takes me weeks to figure out which ones to enter Pearl in!

Just a quick question.  Most of my best cat pics were taken before I had a digital camera (the digital ones are all of the black blob ;D).  They are scanned into my computer but obviously not very high resolution.  Can I still submit them?

If you dont wanna enter you can donate if you wish but hope you can find enough time to enter one category cos its taken a very long time for me to set it all up and loads more of my time has gotta be used yet.

Well done Gill.  So pleased to see there is a category for black cats.  Everybody knows how difficult they are to photograph - always end up looking like a big black blob which tends to disadvantage them when up against multicoloured cats.  This way we can all submit our big black blobs and hope for the best

You don't have to enter every catagory - just pick one that best suits your picture(s). If you look at it this way, it actually makes it easier to enter.
(I've just re-read that, and it may come across as patronising, but that's not my intention - honest.)

I understand about the speed but all you have to do once entries open is fill in entry form and send me the pictures, rules up shortly, and if you look under non-pedigrees, there is a color class available so thats very easy and also an age class under the joint category, both are near the top.

If you have the same picture that fits the criteria for more than one category for the same cat , then you will only need one picture of each cat.

you are not gonna have to post the picture only the fee to tan and piccy to me, every thing else will be done for you.  ;D

If you dont wanna enter you can donate if you wish but hope you can find enough time to enter one category cos its taken a very long time for me to set it all up and loads more of my time has gotta be used yet.

More classes means more chance to win  ;D  And you dont' have to (or are expected to) enter them all!

btw - what is the difference between classes 10 and 11?  Doesn't 11 incorporate 10?  Mosi would come into the other semi longhair category - but is that class 10 or class 11?  And are there any pedigree longhairs that wouldn't go into class 1?  (assuming all the persian varieties and breeds are classed as persian).

I hope it speeds things up Tan, cos I dont have enough time or patience at the mo for it!!
Gill - I hope I do, but to be honest, a list of 80+ is incredibly offputting to me, and I lose interest, esp as I have a lack of time, and the comp is so slow!!

The classes are designed to give everyone a chance of entering their cat in a class because this will be the easiest place to pick up a win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will get harder from then on, cos in the next stage the class winners will be grouped, so much less groups and harder to win.

Also because some classes will be hard to win it gives a chance for the cats to maybe get through in another class.

All cat shows have loads of classes. It doesnt matter how many or how few, its all just fun to raise money for Minimopsical.

I would love to get everyone involved and when the rules are put up shortly you will see that this Cat Show has certain pro active things to get peeps involved

I hope you will find at least one category to enter your cats in Desley  ;D

It shouldn't effect your connection speed on dial up no more than if ya view pics now hun. The pics will all be in the thumb nail format and you will need to click to view them. This way it allows a quicker page loading and ya'll be on broadband soon so ya will be amazed at the speed of broadband.. i couldn't go back to dial up now i would be waitng for hours for pages to load. I soo used to them loading instantly on broardand. You must have lots of patience! :Luv:

Thats ok if ya no want to enter all the classes, it wasn't meant to be for a single slave to enter all of them, but so everyone has a good choice of what they want to enter. We may end up with some classes with no entries. It totally up to you what ya wanna enter hun.  ;) We wanted also to do loads so that every cat can enter so helping to raise more money which is our ultimate goal.  :donate: :donate2:

i just think there might be too many, and it might have the wrong effect, I know I personally wouldn't bother with half of them cos it is offputting having so many, and trying to remember them when the cats are doing daft things - plus, aren't these pics being posted on the forum for the judging? Isn't that going to affect those of us who already have a slow connection to the site?
